Not a bad point but I might suggest in the instruction/helpful notes book there be the IP address for the internet connection. I had some difficulty connecting and it would have been a great help to have the hotel's connection settings available.

The hotel was easy to find and when we arrived, the staff were very friendly and polite. The room was not only spacious but was supplied with all the essentials such as an iron and hairdryer. The pool and spa facilities were of the highest standard and extremely hygienic. The fragranced shower inparticular was amazing! I did not use the hotel restaurants or bar but they both looked very impressive and would definitely try them on my next visit! Hotel appears to have changed hands and is now an Accor with the standards of a Novotel.Food and beverage department disappointing: poorly trained staff, slow service, mediocre food. Little attention to detail and inconsistent standards. Reception and concierge were good. Retaurant and housekeeping poor. Rooms have not been well maintained and were significantly worse than on our last visit. No car parking is a major disadvantage but location right in the heart of the city and overlooking the winter gardens cannot be faulted. (97262432)

Overall a wonderful experience, it was a special weekend, one that could not be repeated and important that it all worked. Food was delciious, service fab and we loved the location and easy of stay. Staying for a friend's party in a nearby suburb, my friend and I were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. Set in the heart of Sheffield, with all the amenities one would expect from a 4* hotel, the website enabled a signficant discount, making it even better value for money. Splendid hotel with excellent amenities in the leisure suite. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room and en-suite facilities were of a very high standard and comfort. The location is excellent for access to Sheffield City Centre and other attractions. Restaurant service was very good and the cuisine of a high standard. We would stay there again without question.

We arrived at 4.40pm and the room wasn't ready! There was no hot water on the Sunday morning. Staff weren't very friendly or helpful.

The hotel has a great location for the city centre and overall it is a very nice place to stay, the room was large, comfortable, and clean and the overall service was good. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the parking facilities or the lack thereof, the nearest car park is situated about five minutes walk away and when we arrived at midday it was impossible to get a space. The hotel does offer concessions and a valet service but it was not made clear at the time off booking, so when arriving at the hotel, check in was very stressful as I had to find on road temporary parking nearby. It was a extremely well kept hotel, the standard of service was excellent. The staff made me and my partner feel very special and that our custom was valued. as we were a young couple I had expected a lesser standard of service, but I was proved wrong and my stay was very enjoyable and the hotel was a big part of that.

I felt there could have been more entertainment facitlities in the rooms, such as in room movies etc, however the room services were to a very high standard. The breakfast could have also been served until 11 am, as 10 am seemed very early for someone staying for leisure not business.

Everything met or exceeded our expectations. To stay in a modern, city centre hotel of high calibre was our treat to ourselves - the St. Paul's hotel gave us all this in addition to being sited in a city we love. (99464248)
