We were very impressed with the friendliness of staff, the quality of the room and fittings and the restaurant. We will certainly book again if the need to be in that area arises again.

too hot in the room, didn't notice air con though until the morning. Shower could have been better. Was not greeted at breakfast so no tea/coffee/toast until after we had finished our breakfast.

Picturesque location - out of town plenty of greenery surrounds.

some rooms too near road - Shower was clean and roomy , but was atrociously plumbed in that hot water turned stone cold at moments notice 4 or 5 times in 1 shower session - - - MOST DISTASTEFULL!!

If you need a hotel in this location at a reasonable price then this hotel is very good. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful, and pretty prompt in catering for our needs. The food was very good indeed, well cooked, well presented and all orders arrived exactly as required - reasonably wide choice, pretty standard 'decent restaurant' prices. While the hotel is a little too modern in decor for my taste, it had some very interesting features and most things worked as they should. The fact that the A/C control was not immediately replaced was probably beyond the control of the staff - perhaps the part needed to be ordered, and to be fair, at our request, we were moved into this room at the last minute due to my companion not being good at stairs and our original one being in a part of the hotel without a lift. At this time of year (spring) it wasn't too much of a problem, but in high summer it might have been unbearable. (99593589)

Location was ideal, the restaurant was good, parking facilities were good. The windows opened which was great. It was very clean and the staff were excellent. Good value for money. They remembered my feather allergy - all pillows/cushions were synthetic. Plenty of hot water.

Mostly that the air conditioning/heating was stuck on one setting because the control knob was missing (just a hole where it had been) and despite informing the front desk, nothing was done. The shower door had dropped and the seal was split so that when the shower was used the floor got flooded because the screen was stuck in the 'open' position. Beds a little on the soft side for my taste (woke with a headache) and the toilet roll holder was loose and kept dropping the roll onto the floor. NO coffee/tea making facilities in the room and if there was a hairdryer, we couldn't find it.
