I had read the reviews and was apprehensive of the room sizes and cleanliness. I was pleasantly surprised that neither of these were of any concern, the room size was adequatte and the bath/shower was spotless (107136457)

Only real negative was the bed quilt - very stained and off putting..

A lovely setting only spoilt by the fact the bedroom, particulalry the bathroom, decor was tired and the water pressure was such that it was virtually impossible to run a bath or have a shower. Food was particularly good. Very poor directions for foreign visitors (had to stop and buy an Ordnance Survey Map from a garage having not found the place after following the directions provided on the internet). I found the hotel excellent and the family who own and run it were all really pleasant and helpful. The bar is comfortable and you share it with the locals who were all friendly - just don't be offended by the colour of their language!! Although the hotel do not do evening meals on a Sunday, they suggested a couple of 'Takeaways' and provided plate and cutlery for my Indian meal. The Indian meal was excellent and delivered not long after being ordered for me by the hotel. The hotel owner was also having an Indian and presented me with a 'spare' nan-bread - nice touch. This was a truly good hotel. Pleasant staff, excellent menu and food.The room decor was superb.

Only 2 minor points. The lack of an electric shaver point and the lack of a hairdryer.Upon check-out we were told that hairdryers were available from reception and that shaver adaptors were also available. Had a note to this effect been available in the room then we would not have found any faults.

The Hotel was very pleasant indeed situated in a nice rural location. The staff were extreamley polite and helpful. The food in the restaurant was first class for both Dinner and Breakfast. Finding the Hotel was simple enough although the directions given did refer to the Hotel being on 'the right at a set of traffic lights' when it is infact on the left! (2604941)

It was in a convenient location to the wedding we were attending. The Hotel was warm, very friendly and spotlessly clean.We enjoyed an excellent Dinner and Breakfast served by polite and efficient staff.
