Retour sur la déco des années 60

une annulation de réservation pour la seconde nuit, nous avions prévenu l'hôtel le matin par oral, on nous a répondu que c'était bon, mais le soir venu on nous a menacé de nous débiter le coût de la chambre car nous n'avions pas fait l'annulation sur le site (personne ne nous en a informé le matin lorsque nous les avons prévenu de notre annulation)

The hoteliers were extremely welcoming and hospitable. We arrived late at night (after 10pm) but we indicated this on our reservation and the hotel sent us a contact telephone number. They went out of their way to make sure that we received this information, which they sent by email (in French, which we received) and by telephone message (in English, which we only received on our return home). As it turned out, we arrived at about 11pm (after traffic problems near Lille and Paris) to find that the Reception was still open and Madame was waiting for us. We were given a choice of rooms and asked when we wanted breakfast. Breakfast was typically French and very good. Monsieur brought us baskets of fresh bread and croissants and offered us plenty of advice and leaflets on local tourist sites. (3305072427)

The hotel was clean and tidy; our bed was very comfortable; and breakfast was filling - as many croissants and bread rolls as we could eat. The couple who run the hotel were very friendly and helpful.

We had a very hot night (even for July in France) and the hotel has no air-conditioning.

A great hotel for the price. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful - even providing taxi service when the local taxis failed to appear. We wish we could always stay in such hotels. The rooms were exceptionally well provided and clean. We would award all the stars possible. Although the hotel was on a main road, the double ( or possibly triple) glazing kept out all noise. And we were in front rooms- We were also given the choice of smoking or non- smoking rooms--- this was greatly appreciated (we wanted non-smoking). (2380046)
