We were very pleased with the hotel in general and would certainly stay again.
It is quite likely that we will visit Skegness regualrly as my father lives there and we would use this hotel everytime now.
We would appraciate notification of offers or specials on at the hotel.

Overall, the hotel was good value for money; it was clean, had good facilites and excellent food, which was very reasonably priced.
A very picturesque hotel, with lovely grounds.
Some members of staff were very accomodating and friendly, particularly towards our child. The waitress ni the restaurant in the evening (9.9.08) was extremely helpful.

As it was our visit, we were unaware that there was a caravan site attached with extra facilities that we were entitled to use. We thought staff would have pointed this out as we had a young child. However, as we stayed in September, some of these facilities might have been closed.
A waiter in the restaurant in the vevning (9.9.08) seemed unhappy that my husband and I came to dine as we had a child with us. This cannot be proved, buit if it could, then I would've been bitterly disappointed as we were paying guests and our child is very well behaved; all we had done at this point was walk over. He looked and said, "Oh, no". This made us feel very uncomfortable. To give the benefit of the doubt, he might not have been referring to us. He looked very stressed though and created an uncomfortable atmosphere for us.

Excellent venue for a weekend away!
Would have been good to try the leisure centre pool etc maybe more information could be provided when booking so that it can be included in the rate. Will definately be coming back with friends and swimming costumes etc.

I was pleased with the standard of the hotel and the value for money it offered. The hotel was clean and the staff were very attentive. However the thin walls were a nuisance.

It was clean and comfortable

the adjoining rooms leaked too much sound. On the first night we were listening to the tv in room 218 till gone 1pm which was not turned up exceptionally loud. On the second night there was a young family in room 214 and this was very noisey

Would have liked to have known that the leisure facilities were not attached directly to the hotel, but were located on the caravan site.

it was comfy, and spacious. The staff were friendly and really helpful.

That we were not told about the caravan sight at the back, so we did not expect that as our view!

In general not a top notch hotel - which I think is what it was aiming to be. Although the caravans on site clearly detracted from that aim. Would use it again until something better arrives - but would only recommend with lots of caveats.
We booked two rooms one for us one for the kids - they were well seperated - not ideal. We had also asked for a quiet room - the kids room was near the lift which beeped loudly when it opened.

quite a good standard for skegness

beeping mechanism on the door was annoying, sound proofing of the room was poor - duck noise in the morning a disturbance. Celebrity bar very smokey and breakfast pricing a bit irrational. Was surprised to have to pay for swimming as we were residents

Extremely well presented hotel,a short drive away from the town, so peaceful surroundings.Dinner in the orangery was excellent and value for money.Leisure center on the complex is nice and food and drink there is very reasonable. Our double rear view room was excellent, although the shower was a little uncontrolable, but great when working well. Our non smoking friends complained about stale tobacco smell in thier room, so be sure to ask for a no smokimg room if this would bother you.We think it is an affordable splash of luxury, and will go again soon.
