An attractive building perfectly placed for the coast and the Downs.

Service Good,Food good,reasonable price.

Ground floor room therefore rather stuffy due to large windows being un-openable.

Satisfactory

Pleasant; comfortable room; pleasant friendly staff; accessible; good parking; breakfast was fine.

Menu for breakfast was misleading. It gave an inaccurate price and suggested waitress service when in fact we had to collect our own meal.
A room on the road is not a good thing - much traffic noise at night

I would have preferred a hotel with more personal, genuine touch.

the nice old building located in the small and beautiful village.

just english breakfast with no alternatives like fresh fruit, cheese-sandwich. The coffee was very weak.

The hotel offered everything we needed and the situation was both convenient and attractive. Although it does not offer bar meals the room service menu was very good and the restaurant meals looked excellent for a meat eater wih a good appetite! The breakfasts certainly set us up for the day.

We enjoyed our stay. We didn't eat in the hotel as we were visiting family for Christmas and spent the majority of our time with them. We booked online and asked for room 215 which we had been told had a disabled adapted bathroom and was accessed by a lift. In the event we were not allocated that room initially and it was only because I checked by phone later that we were able to have this room. It would have been very difficult had we not had access to a lift as my husband has mobility problems and finds stairs very difficult.

The room was very pleasantly furnished and spacious. For the most part it was very quiet and peaceful but see below.

The shower was poor as it was very difficult to regulate the temperature of the water with the mixer taps. The sound proofing was poor for the room next door. This was obviously occupied on our second night by a deaf person who had their TV on very loud indeed. It could be heard clearly in the corridor as well as in our room.

The hotel was fine, and I would definitely consider it as an option if I needed to stay in that area again. A good choice for anyone who needs to stay near Brighton but wants to avoid the city centre.
Only one issue it would have been good to have known in advance - we arrived early afternoon, but found the restaurant was already fully booked for the evening. Room service was an acceptable alternative, but it would have been better to have been more clearly informed that we ought to have made a restaurant booking in advance for a full evening meal at the hotel.

Nice location, and peaceful

Room was rather cold, even when heating was turned up high. The bathroom seemed to have underfloor heating and heated towel rail, but there was no instructions on how to get them to work.
