Ok for a overnight stop but not for anything more than a quick stop over.
(107805787)

The Car Park was free and the hotel was very close to local ammenities.

The room was furthest from check-in, despite being out of season, requests for a non-smoking room was ignored. Morning staff were rude and unwelcoming. The general atmosphere of the hotel was unpleasant.

Cheap room great, No travelling for food great, but room needs a little more work.
(107492689)

Cheap room with good facilities.
Hungry Horse Pub so no travelling long distances for food plus hotel in a good location.

One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because the Sky TV advertised, but there was only one or two channels, very disappointed. Bathroom was not as clean as it should have been and hotel could do with the decor being updated.

I knew what to expect as I read trip advisor reviews and kept an open mind. It was cheap, convenient and we couldn't have asked for more helpful staff. Would stay if I needed a budget break again.
(107281772)

the price was fair

we were locked out of the bathroom of our first room but it was no bother for us to be moved to another room. the hotel is in need of general upkeep - the curtains do not pull, the skirting boards have paint on them. Behind the bath taps there was mildew.

good hotel - ideal for alton towers.
(107180125)

Cheap, en-suite, good storage more than you find in premier inn/travelodge. problem with sink but staff sorted it straight away.

some decor needs attention. clean of room while we were out was not complete but nothing that bad.
PETER from Gravesend, GB (Group of adult friends) 22 August 2008
We would recommend the hotel to anyone.
(107147190)

The location, frendliness of staff and quality of the 2 rooms we had were excelent. Another bonus was the quality and value for money of the food we were served whilst staying at the hotel.

Shower was not quite right but other than that excelent.

Great clean and a great location if you have a car or are happy to walk around
(107133015)

The hotel served meals til late or there was McDonalds and Tesco accross the road which was handy. Even thou it was attached to a pub hardly any noise was heard from within the hotel or outside.

All the information I needed to know became available once on line, the only misconception was that one would have to make arrangments to park our vehicle, I found that there was ample parking space and no need to make arrangments. The hotel is ideally situated and gives very good access to all the major roads.

It was clean, well equiped and spacious and suited our needs perfectly

The accommodation is excellent value for money. The bed is very comfortable. The room had everything I needed including a sofa and a comfortable chair. The shower was good and easy to use. All in all very good with the added advantage of an onsite restuarant if required. I didn't use the restuarant but it was reassuring knowing it was there if I required an evening meal. I booked at this hotel because someone else had commented that they had stayed in hotels all over the country and this one they rated as very good. That comment made up my mind to book and I was not disappointed.
(97723528)

Purpose built. It had all the conveniences I would have expected. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was served from 7am

the curtains were not fitted very well and would not pull on the cord therefore I had to pull them across as best I could.

Not the best hotel I've stayed in but certainly not the worst. Some of the fixtures and fittings are a little worn but friendly helpful staff, good service and value for money lift this well above many of the budget range big hotel chains offerings I've stayed in.

We were spending two days at Alton Towers and needed a local place for an over-night stay. This hotel was excellent. It was 20mins from Alton Towers. The Hungry Horse pub joined to the hotel was very friendly, excellent service from all the staff, the food was outstanding value for money. We will defiantly be staying here again next year.

The hotel was very clean in appearance and the staff wre helpful throughout the stay. The room is a good size for two people and it contained all the items you require for an overnight stay, including the complimentary kat kats and water were a nice touch.Would definately stay in this hotel again.

This was the best value for money hotel in the area, with a Hungry Horse next door. The room size and 'little touches' made for a relaxing break after a hectic day at Alton Towers. Would definitely use again.

I liked the provision of hair-dryer, Sky TV, trouser press, iron and ironing board, as well as hot drink making facilities in the room. These are the types of equipment that one expects as a matter of course in star rated hotels, so I was pleasantly surprised to find them in your lodge. Overall very good value, and a pleasant stay.
(3304324230)

Helpful staff, very good facilities with well equipped rooms.

Better mapping/signing - still quite difficult to find in the dark if you are travelling from south or east.
