Generally a good stay. Good security and pleasant room.

Very nice hotel.

Unfortunatelly I had bad luck. The same night there was wedding celebration and wedding guest were too noisy till 2:30am. The other think that I booked non-smoking room. But unfortunatelly nobody let me know that the hotel had available smoking rooms only. As I hate ciggarette smoke, I suffered at the room a bit.

If you are travelling with a car, this hotel is an excellent alternative to central Dublin. It is modern, well maintained and for the price is superior to any of the alternative hotels we have stayed in in this area.

Spacious, well equipped bedroom with separate shower and bath

Overcharged for bar food but this was corrected when we queried the bill

We had a very pleasent couple of days. We were in Dublin to meet with our son who lives in Belfast and to see the rugby (pity about the score from our point of view but you can't have everything). I used the pool area a few times and enjoyed that and if we were to meet up in Dublin in the future, which is quite likely, we would be interested in perhaps playing golf. So details of the golf packages would be useful.
It is a hotel I would use again, but I would make more enquiries as to where the room was situated, and do feel that the bin situation is something that the hotel should sort out.
The local village has a good Italian Restaurant.
(99309857)

Good public areas, very nice pool complex (although staff were not always on hand for towels, hats etc.) Helpful staff for arranging taxis etc.

The bins were extremely close to our room and they were emptied very early on Saturday morning. The emptying took a long time and was very disturbing. Also the bins were over filled and birds were pulling food etc out of the bins and flying round with it - even onto the room window ledge. This seemed unpleasent and a bit of a health hazzard.
The room itself was fine and the bathroom facilities were very good.

As a business traveller, i have stayed in numerous hotels thoughout europe using the same process to book the rooms, i have never been made to feel like the criminal i did when i had a breakfast which i requested to be charged to my room. The staff were very rude and interigated me regarding the breakfast 3 times whilst i was eating. I will never stay at that hotel again and we have lots of business in that area and i will not be putting that hotel forward for any of my collegues.
(99307841)

the staff at the hotel, very rude, intrusive, unhelpful and more concerned over the billing of a breakfast then my status as a guest.

The hotel was quite busy with the christmas festivities, however, the service was excellent. This hotel was very popular and provided a very pleasing atmosphere. We would recommend it to all and will most certainly return again and again.
(99473575)

The Hotel was very modern and clean throughout, the staff were very attentive and friendly.

Our room was at the very end of the corridor on the second floor and we found it rather cold, we mentioned this to the reception staff who provided us with an electric radiator for the whole of our stay and we were very pleased with their understanding.

We enjoyed the very efficient service. All the staff were very helpful. The bedrooms contained everything that we needed and were very comfortable. The only remark I would make is that the room was too hot for sleeping, I would suggest turning down the thermostat at night.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, I would have thought the prices were a little high though.

I loved the decor and the ensuite bathroom facility was excellent.

The over all review of the Hotel was excellent. Both my wife and myself have stayed in many 4 star Hotels and the Castleknock Hotel is by far the best to date. Also we would recommend that vistors take time out and visit the zoo and a trip to the shopping complex in Blanchards Town which is only a short distance by car.Just to say that we would return to the Hotel is an understatement a return visit is a must.
(3305249387)

The accommodation was of a high standard the room was excellent and the food was also excellent and the service was also of a very high standard.

Both my wife and myself could not say that we had any dislikes about our accommodation.

We stayed at 5 hotels during our holiday in Ireland during August. Castleknock certainly rates as number one overall and we will stay there next time we are in Dublin.
The only criticisms are:-
The website directions are inaccurate but we found our way eventually.
The breakfast area was perhaps a little cramped and the hot food not quite as hot as it ideally should have been but they were minor against the overall pleasure of staying at such a clean, spacious and modern hotel. (Nothing's perfect after all). The cost was very reasonable also - joint cheapest of the 5 hotels we visited.

It was a pleasure; the hotel and staff were excellent all respects. The only change I recommend is to move away from self service breakfasts. The hot food counter was inefficient at keeping the food hot.
I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to all.

On the whole, our stay was very good. We enjoyed the service and cleanliness of the rooms. Breakfast was very good in both quanitities, variety and quality. The dining room staff were quite good. Access to the Dublin city was adequate. Usage of the bus was ok, except for late night walking from the bus stop to the hotel is through some areas where safety may be a concern.
(3304333932)

Room service was very good. Cleaning staff were excellent. All the staff were very helpful and had very good attitudes. We both used the fitness center, both the gym as well as the pool facilities. These were well staffed and well maintained.

We had one bad dinner meal. Two people in our party ordered Cajun Salmon. The food was very spicey. A complaint was made and the cost of the two meals was deducted. This response was fine. The staff working in the lounge area seemed new and inexperienced. A couple of times there was confusion settling bills. The access to the hotel entry is cumbersome to identify, especially at night. Also the access is difficult when bringing in luggage. It would be helpful if there were someone on hand to help bring luggage through the non-automatic front doors. At some point, usage (through the hotel) to the golf course would be very good.

The only thing was the distance from the City Centre, I would have liked to have seen a map/plan which included bus routes etc.
(3304053382)

It was always in a very tidy and good order, with the best bathroom/toilet facilities that I have found anywhere. A+++++

A room fridge bar, so that if you required a cool refreshing drink, it is available at any time of the night.

The hotel in general was wonderful. Both myself and my daughter loved the modern decor. Also the Leisure Centre was most enjoyable, the staff were very friendly and helpful and left you alone to get on with things.
Our only criticism relates to the staff serving in the restaurant area. I am not sure whether they could understand English or not! One thing I did notice is that they did not write anything down on paper, so perhaps that is the reason why they had forgotten what we had ordered.
I know its a new hotel but I think the staff need a little more training and maybe they should carry a pen and paper with them! Other than that we had a wonderful time.
(2444811)

Very clean and modern - shower in the bathroom was wonderful

Staff serving in the restaurant area - first night of our stay we had to keep asking for things that we had ordered - We normally stay in 4 or 5 star hotels when we travel and we were not used to that type of service!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the rooms and the general hotel facilities were excellent, including a great leisure suite which helps to relax after a busy business trip. The food and service was really good.
The location is a approx 20 minutes by taxi / bus and so going into Dublin wasn't quick especially during peak traffic, I guess the trade off was the peace and tranquilityand superb setting.
(2394310)

Excellent facilities, good food and a superb leisure suite.

Local knowledge of the area from Reception Staff was poor - didn't know local pubs and bus routes etc.
