I would like to have known the quality of the local restaurants. We eat in one and we were not happy with the standard of cleanliness (As the old joke goes The food must be good, a thousand flies can't be wrong). We didn't bother using a local restaurant the second night. Otherwise there is nothing to fault with this hotel or the region. The proprietor and his wife were very helpful and although not perfect English speakers, which we had expected, we managed to understand each ohe very well. (99020739)

We were very favourably impressed by this hotel. It was clean beyond all normal expectations. The bathroom and bedroom were tastefully furnished and the hosts went out of their way to be helpful. (99567324)

It is only a small point, but very light sleepers might find it a bit noisy (from the road). It did not affect us.

The comfortable bed (not too small for us!) and the cool and hygienic tile floor (wall to wall carpeting should not be used in warm climates)

The hotel is located next to the main road, N85, about 15kms SE of Dignes and is surrounded by mountains. The road, however, is quiet in the evening and at night and did not disturb us. There are two restaurants closeby which were very useful considering the isolated location. Overall we were very pleased with the accommodation and would recommend it to anyone who wished to explore the Parc Naturel Regional du Verdun. (3304714253)

The hotel was of a high standard with good facilities and the staff were very friendly. A couple of reasonable value restaurants located closeby so we didn't need to use the car.

The owner did not seem to know that we were arriving! We had to wait for nearly 1 hour before anyone turned up to let us in. After that is was fine.

Of all hotels we stayed at during our vacation in the Provence, this one was the best. Very friendly hosts - it is family run and the owner even stayed up for us because we were checking in late. Also, great location next to the mountains in a tiny village, yet easy to reach the local capital of Digne within 15 minutes. Great breakfast, too. And the lack of a TV set in our room was actually a plus since it intensified the relaxing experience. (3304663904)

Sehr ruhiges und sauberes Hotel für unahbhängigen Urlaub. Frühstück möglich, aber sonst keine weiteren Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten zu Fuß zu erreichen, außer einem weiteren Hotel, das aber Abendessen nur 3x in der Woche unregelmäßig bietet. Fahrzeug unbedingt erforderlich! Kein Aufenthaltsraum im Hotel, Radio oder Fernseher auch nicht zugänglich. Trotz der direkten Straßenlage nicht laut. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Liegt für Ausflüge ins Umland und ans Meer sehr zentral. (2615441)
