Access to the hotel by public transport is limited. You can catch the shuttle bus from the airport or the TGV station but it leaves you at a roundabout about 700m to 1km from the hotel and carting luggage for that distance was painful without adequate pavements. We asked for a taxi for the morning to get to the TGV station and although it is a short trip (10 minutes), we were charged twice the amount of the trip because the taxis come from Aix-en-Provence. The staff were very helpful and kept part of our luggage in the left luggage area for 10 days, while we were in Morroco, even though we were staying there only for one night, this was much appreciated. Dinner was good value with a $24 menu of good local food. (97309508)

Very nice hotel, good facilities, good staff and friendly, respeption personal freindly, a hotel where they spoke english a good hjelp, it is a hotel to stay. Very nice natural scenery. Royal Mirabeau has everything that one expects from a 3-star hotel. The room was reasonably big and clean (but the mattress needed to be replaced) and we were delighted to find a minibar in it. We particularly liked the setting and environment around the hotel which was open and quiet. It may be a little bit far from the Aix Centre but that's fine if you have a car. Hotel tres sympa et personnel tres accueillant. L'acces Internet etait gratuit dans la chambre, ce qui etait tres apprecie! Attention, une voiture est imperative pour le transport de l'hotel au centre d'Aix en Provence(10-15 mins environ). Bien que l'hotel se trouve dans une zone d'activites, il est tres agreable avec une belle vue sur le golf. (3304688270)

We couldn't find anything wrong with this hotel that we felt strongly enough about to comment on. The hot breakfast items were usually cold but the waiter would microwave them for us. We asked for extra pillows and a couple of chairs for the balcony and got them right away. It was in a quiet situation yet well placed for quick access to roads going all directions. The resturaunt, bar and outside areas were well laid out and although we never tried the swimming pool it also looked very good. This hotel fully merited the 3 star rating - unlike other French 3 and 4 star hotels we have used. Perhaps it should be 4 star. We were glad we chose this hotel and would certainly chose it again and also recommend it to our friends. (3304574048)

Hotel is outside of Aix.It is approximately 20 euros to town by taxi. It is difficult to walk from the bus to the hotel after bus hours, as there are no other houses or hotels around. If you have a car this is perfect to be here or pay for taxi. The TGV station is only 8 kilometers from hotel, and you can take a bus, but it does not run on Sundays very often. (3304387250)

The view of Aix en Provence out our window was beautiful! It is situated on a golf course so it is very quiet and very beautiful. THe room was very spacious, and very clean. We got a good price in between busy seasons (65 euros/night) booked online no problem. The breakfast is wonderful and their is a terrace to sit out and enjoy the view. THis was a very nice place to stay!

The hotel is farther out from the actual town of Aix. It is more challenging to get around, unless you use a taxi or car. There is a good bus system,(and a stop right outside the hotel) but the last bus runs at 18:00 hours from Aix, so you must use a taxi to get back after hours. It is approximately 20 euros to town by taxi.
