Very clean, comfortable and friendly atmosphere and one of the largest guest lounges seen in a long while for a hotel of its size - and the snug bar truly is a delight.

I did not realise before this review that pets were allowed at the establishment. Perhaps I just missed this information but it did worry me as I thought may be I might have a bad experience, eg rooms full of dog hairs!I could not have been more wrong. The guest house was spotless and the service was first class.

A guest house with real character run by a very friendly and attentive couple. Alston is off the beaten track for most people and as a result is quiet and peaceful even over a bank holiday weekend. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Lowbyer Manor Country House is a great base for enjoying the wild beauty of the Northern Pennines

The hotel was excellent, the staff were friendly and very helpful and informative. The cumberland sauasge served at breakfast along with all the other choices was wonderful it sets you up for the day, certainly not one to miss.
The towels were to die for they were so clean and white it was dazzling also the bedding was the same, hand crafted quilts covered the beds they are very eyecatching.Altogether a lovely place to stay I would reccommend this to friends.

I loved this hotel and its location, the staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean.I will be staying again, and would recommend anyone to use this Hotel.
