Other than problems with the room it was a very enjoyable stay. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Great building and good standard of decor in room.

Room was icy cold. Bathroom door was completely broken.
Anonymous (Young couple) 04 March 2008
Very stylish reception room. Should consider plug in air freshner to cover slight smell of dampness. This smell was only in reception room - maybe because it was a prticularly wet day.

Bright room with spacious bathroom
Nice design.

Poor wardrobe facilities. Hangers were annoying and when clothes hung up view of full length mirror was obscured.

Overall the stay was very pleasant, staff were friendly and helpful, generally very good overall.

Room was spotless, very good TV and facilities in room.

Not enough coffee in the room!

I wasn't particulary impressed with the choice of food on the menu, maybe it wasn't to my particular taste and would appeal to others. The hotel was right slap bang in the middle of the gorgeous town and I would definately stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were really friendly and our room was extremly comfortable. We especially enjoyed the flat screen TV provided.

The amount of stairs

The staff at the Ormond where absolutely fantastic, I travel quite a lot around europe and I have never stopped in a hotel with such friendly and helpful staff. Thanks if I'm in the area again I will definately be staying at the Ormond
(97688437)

The hotel was great decor nice, lots of character rooms in fantastic condition.

Nothing at all the hotel was great, one of the best that I have stayed in (and for a lot cheaper than majority of them. Minor comment (not a complaint) is the TV,s in the room could do with updating i.e LCD.
Robert from Exeter, GB (Mature couple) 16 July 2007

Nice hotel in the centre of town. There is a problem with car parking (ther isn't one for the hotel) but for overnight bookings you can easily park in the road outside of the hotel; during the day parking restrictions apply.

In a quiet town with decent eating places.

Not much, all ok.

I liked the feel of the rooms - quite contempoary and spacious and the sheets were nice and crisp

The bed was very creaky. The shower was not adjustable so sprayed all over the floor. The door to the bathroom was difficult to open. The TV did not work.

Lovely setting and building
Friendly staff
Unpretentious

The restaurant was superb!! The staff made us feel very welcome. We didn't actually get the rooms we needed. One room was too small for three teenage children but was satisfactory. We had no water for about an hour on Sunday morning which put a bit of a damper on our plans. The rooms were very nicely decorated and sunny. Overall, I think our stay was very good and the hotel is run by happy people who care about your wellbeing.

Very good room in comparison to the usual, bland corporate hotel.Very large bathroom.Pleasantly nice!

Rooms need a bit of TLC,although very clean and meticulous housekeeping.TV has seen far better days.An LCD what suit the style of room....and they're not expensive now!The usual 'noise',as you'd expect, from the drinking establishment of such hotels.

As noted above, the accomodation is good. Breakfast was excellent but the style of the dining room is too modern for a hotel with this character. It might suit younger people though! - and the bar was a little noisy at times. Our room however was quiet, and the hotel is ideally situated for everything in Tetbury and for walks around this interesting town.
Information about car parking would have been helpful
(99947475)

All modern comforts in a hotel full of cotswold character.
Anonymous (Mature couple) 28 March 2007
Located on the main street, on-street parking may be a problem depending on what time you arrive. You may need to park in the public car park which is a 5 minute walk away. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was good. It was a short stay so I didn't try the bar or restaurant but I get the impression they are worth a visit. The problem is a lack of staff who are pleasnt enough but seem a little rushed. There is a high chance there won't be someone on reception and you'll have to enquire at the bar next door.

good bed, and clean well furnished room.

the shower went cold at times and wasn't very powerful
Roger from York, United Kingdom;GB (Group of adult friends) 17 March 2007
The shower was poor, & the sink was tiny. The room itself was large enough & clean, but one of the rooms we booked was not ready. Parking was not ideal as it was in another car park across the street. The breakfast was nice although slow because the one member of staff was waiter & receptionist.

There was no parking available near the hotel, and only after some 3 hours in the area did I manage to find a parking spot within 400 meters of the hotel. Most of the time we were in Tetbury it was raining so we had no choice but get wet loading and unloading our case from the car to the hotel.

This hotel was recommended by another hotel in the area and I am really glad it was. The staff were really helpful, service was good, the room was clean and good value for money, breakfast was delicious and the hotel was about as central as you could get.

The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel offers great accommodation and the breakfasts were lovely. If I had to find a fault the only thing I would say is that parking is very difficult due to Tetbury being such a popular tourist town. Would definitely use this hotel again if I'm ever in the area.

The room had recently been re-furbished and looked fantastic.

We stayed in this hotel for a wedding last year and had a great time so went back for our anniversary. We had a perfect weekend just gone and would fully recommend visiting the Ormond when in Tetbury or the surrounding area. The staff very friendly and welcoming, our room (no. 15) was as nice as the one we had at Babington last month so we feel that value for money at the Ormond is second to none. A great boutique hotel that gets better everytime we go... will definately be back!

An average old style hotel gradually transforming itself to a more 'boutique' feel. The new look is great, the breakfast the best I have had in a hotel and the staff lovely. Looking forward to returning and spending more time there.

Very nice hotel, staff and food. Shame we were slightly let down by not having our room available at the promised check-in time. Thankfully the staff provided another room for us to get changed in and we did not miss the wedding. Good value for money.

Very disappointed with breakfast, I asked for bacon and tomatoe and got one slice of over cooked bacon and half a tomatoe!!! This was not adequate or represented value for money given the room rate! The staff made no effort to rectify situation when I suggested this was not sufficient, neither did they offer a reduction when I raised this at check out. Staff were pleasant otherwise.

I wish I didn't follow their directions on getting to the hotel as it took me twice as long as it should have. That was probably my fault for not looking for a better route. Parking was not ideal, but it wasn't completely out of the way. All in all it was a good hotel to stay in for getting to Cirencester easily. The service wasn't great but it wasn't the worst I have ever had either. Great food. Comfortable room.
(2794422)

The staff were very friendly, at least the ones that I saw as there didn't seem to be very many. The dinner menu was fantastic and my meal was very nice. It was fairly good value for money.

The whole staff seemed to consist of young girls, which I didn't have a problem with, but it made it difficult to get them to do anything. On arrival, I had no toilet paper in my shower room. The carpet was not particularly clean as there were cobwebs in the corners. The room could have used a new paint job. At breakfast, I had to ask twice for milk for my coffee and butter for my toast. Again as there seemed to be a staffing problem, I did not have enough time to order a cooked breakfast before I had to leave for my course at 8am.
