the setting and style of the hotel

very little - bathrooms seemed a bit utilitarian in comparison to the room decor

All in all this is an excellent and very comfortable hotel with good services. We will certainly stay there again in the future. All the staff that we met were friendly and helpful. The quality of the food was very good. There is good car parking space available . (97984379)

Clean, modern well serviced hotel and there is good use of colour in the rooms with a large window give natural good light. The room furniture was very good (see comment below). The hotel is in a good location with a good outlook in its own grounds

More drawer space to store clothes there was just a small wardrobe and two bedside cabinets. For a four night stay it is nice to unpack the case.

A really nice hotel, the staff are excellent, the food is very good and well presented. Rooms + bathroom are of a good size, 14 acres of grounds. The location is on the outskirts of Barrow in a quiet area close to the ruins of a Cistercian Abbey, Walney Island is a short drive through Barrow. Coniston Water + Lake Windermere are 40mins drive away. The Coast Road from Ulverston to Barrow is a lovely route with nice scenery. (99548598)

Could be better signposted, but this is a minor point

As it was just an overnight stay I can not really comment on the hotel in general but I have no complaints for the duration of our stay (99596720)

This was excellent value for money. The restaurant was really good, great food and service! Reception was friendly and helpful. The grounds were lovely too. (3304554761)
