The instructions on how to contact the hotel implied that there was a courtesy phone in the Orange Carpark but there was not. Anyone without a mobile phone would have been forced to return to Stansted Airport to contact them. The transport arrived as promised the checking in process was excellent and the room was also excellent. Shame about the breakfast!! I booked a taxi for 10am when we checked in and later I returned to reception and changed it to 9.45am. TRhe Hotel failed to change the time and we were left in reception at 9.45 with no taxi. The man who came to reception when I rand the bell immediately phoned the taxi company and asked for it to be sent immediately and it arrived shortly afterwards before 10am. The quality and spaciousness of the room

There was a bit missing from the shower making it difficult to switch on. The quality of the Full English Breakfast. It was poorly prepared and was cold by the time it reached the table and certainly not worth the cost.

pillow cases were grubby and the pillows beneath were stained and grubby. The towels had been dried on a hot towel rail but had not been properly washed.

Location of Hotel better before. Better to know where are local pubs etc, town if any. Sure the internet works. One of the key reasons I booked with Desalis. It wasn't working during my stay. So I used their own PC though. Local pub does excellent food by the way, and great IPA ale. Despite this good value, closly placed hotel, nice room etc. I'd stay there again. (97858256)

Largish room, comfortable bed. Good shower. Tea coffee in the room. Free pick-up from a local pub up the road. Helpful staff despite WIFI internet wasn't working.

Made to wait a while before I could check-in. Room was cold. I had to turn the radiator on. No internet. No sky TV, just terestrail channels. Breakfast was later than advised. I had to eat it quickly to make the transit time of 08.00hrs back to Stansted.

Someone has some very good ideas decore wise. There is no separate bar area you are seated in the restaurant. The breakfast was a disaster. There is a poor selection,the operation of the breafast service leaves a lot to be desired and the 'mugs'that are available for tea and coffee do not match and were not particularly clean. The restaurant lets the room side of the hotel down badly.The reception staff and the gentlemen carrying out the pick up and drop off at the airport were very pleasant and friendly. (97186383)

On arrival at the hotel we were very pleased with the look of the hotel. The rooms are relatively well equipped and thought has gone into the decoration. The bedding was clean the towels were alright, although in need of replacement, but the bath mat was dirty.

We styed in room 29 on our inward flight and although the room was lovely and spacious, the lighting in the bedroom needs attention. Using the shower over the jacuzzi there is no curtain and the water went everywhere.

We needed overnight accommodation due to flights from Stansted. The hotel is convenient for this but isolated for a guest with no car. The food in the restaurant was good but the decor rather eccentric. The staff were excellent and the driver of the courtesy transport to and from the hotel very helpful (99266790)

Staff and welcome excellent. Very nice entrance to hotel. Did resent having to pay for airport transfer, as all other hotels I have stayed at provide this service for free. Room nicely decorated and comfortable. Breakfast was unsatisfactory. Tables were not set, table was dirty as was floor. Generally below acceptable standards. Food was barely edible. One big tub of 'utterly butterly' was provided, which was full of crumbs and quite disgusting. Yogurts cheap and nasty. Croissants hard. Muffins were ok. Coffee ok. The entrance to the hotel is attractive and well cared for.

I had booked a twin-bedded room for a colleague and myself. In the event we were given a room with a double bed and a 'camp' bed, which was positioned in front of the wardrobe, rendering that unusable.

The information that I was given was accurate and helpful on our arrival at airport we made our way to pick up point after telephoning hotel, transport arrived within 10 minutes. check in was quick and rooms where very comfortable and attractive. Our transport back to airport next day was prompt and we enjoyed the whole experience. (99391141)

Although the hotel seemed very pleasant, the fact that my wake-up call was never made (I always set my mobile because this has happened to me in the past) and, more importantly, the huge cockroach I saw strolling around the room, lead me to have a negative overall view of the experience. I suppose sometimes there are cockroaches (although the last time I saw one this big was in a $2 B&B in Laos), but it was the fact that the staff didn't seem very bothered about it - nor did they apologise or offer me a different room or anything - that I was most disappointed with. 1. The wake-up call I asked for was never made 2. Just as I went to sleep a huge cockroach scuttled across the carpeted floor. When I called someone in to remove it, they didn't seem particularly fussed - didn't offer me apologies or another room, etc.

The shower was a problem. It worked well but if turned up it flew off its holders and the water went everywhere. Also the curtain was too short and once my shower was completed the floor was flooded. Ruined an otherwise excellent experience (99086515)
