Greatly enjoyed our time at the Highwayman, staff all friendly and helpful, good 'pub-grub' menu and everything kept very clean. A map with the booking confirmation would have been useful although we managed to find our way there eventually!

Staff friendly and helpful, everything very clean

Room a little small for an extended stay, and remote for TV missing!

Cooked portion of breakfast was fine but restricted choice of cereals and no fruit or yoghurt. Toast should be provided, not a machine which invariably means a queue. You must pay at beginning of stay! Evening meal? Pay immediately! It is not an Hotel, but a Pub with rooms.

Rooms appeared to have been refurbished recently, to a high standard.

Poor Management, no people skills, no fault of staff as it was obvious they had had no training.

Friendly staff and menu for dinner and breakfast, although basic was well cooked, piping hot and tastey.

The room was cold (January). We had booked a twin room but only a double was available. There was only one hanger in the wardrobe and dusty carpets under the furniture. There was a lot of clutter of vacuum cleaner attachments and rolls of laundry and odd chairs

a friendly environment, with an excellent choice of menu, from snacks to a range of well portioned hot meals, home cooked. the room was newly decorated, with a double shower, teas, coffe and water in the room with a tv.and very comfortable bed. i would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

warm, bright and airy

there was nothing to dislike except maybe that there was no direct access to the hotel without going outside which could be a disadvantage in bad weather.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable, attractive and very clean with a wonderful mattress and just-right pillows. It was possible to darken the room to allow sleeping past sunrise because the drapes were heavily lined. We are sorry to say that the food was not the best we've had in Britain but breakfasts were sufficient and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank-you so much for an enjoyable visit.

Room was lovely, quiet, clean, modern and airy with fine ammenities. Great TV ! Most comfotable bed on our whole journey.

We had a problem with all the stairs and at night, on returning to our room, my husband fell down a little dip of three steps because the automatic light hadn't switched on soon enough. The steps are odd there with a drop off in the corridor. He wasn't hurt, thank goodness.
