Excellent location with views across the bay from the breakfast room. Room very well presented & spotless throughout. Good choice and a hearty breakfast delivered with excellent service.

If you don't have a car it does take a bit of planning if you want to get out and about. Buses are good but not very regular (1 an hour if you're lucky) - go on the net and print off a range of timetables from westerngreyhound.com and firstgroup.com as bus times are not always shown at the bus stops.

Clean & comfortable hotel. No Hen / Stag parties. Breakfast in the hotel was very good although hot food only served between 8.30 and 9.30am. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Room could have been a bit bigger. Not necessarily a 'bad' point but from this hotel it's a good 30-40 min walk into Newquay town centre. Some people may find that a bit too much. There is a bus stop by the hotel though.

Clean, good position, lovely views,

decor dated, full english breakfast not freshly cooked, poor quality sausages

Small, cramped. The decor was dated. Bed was uncomfortable. The walls were paper thin and you could hear what was being said in the next bedrooms. There was a constant over powering smell of air fresherners.

The rooms were clean and light/bright. The staff were friendly but unobtrusive.

The room was a little small.

The hotel looks larger in the photo, but this is not a problem, until you almost drive past looking for a bigger building. Excellent breakfast. For evening food, the bistro just down the hill is recommended.

Good parking, easy to find, run my a really friendly couple. I'll stay again when in the area.

really nit picking - the wall mountd TV was too close to the desk, and too close to my head ;)

Very clean (possibly the cleanest place we have ever stayed in). Brilliant shower. Good breakfast.

Room described as suite but was less spacious than anticipated. Shower room very small.

We spent the easter break at the Windward, which we booked because of the good reviews it had received, we were not disappointed, excellent location, very clean and well presented.
Wonderful views over the bay from the breakfast room, nice friendly welcome from the owners, who were very helpful offering to book tables for us at the local bistro, which was very nice indeed.
would have liked better quality sausage with the otherwise very good English breakfast, this was the only disappointment on a very enjoyable stay.

Location was great, breakfast room was light and airy, owners very friendly and accommodating.

Rooms were a bit cramped, poor quality sausage spoiled an otherwise excellent breakfast.

A group of 7 s spent a very nice weekend here recently. The owners are very friendly and helpful - recommending and booking restaurants, and generally helping out.
Our room, although a little on the small side, was very comfortable - as was the bed. Everything worked properly, the shower was excellent - powerful and hot. The breakfast was also excellent - good quality produce with very little fat or grease.
The small bar was also a good place to chat, and the honour system works very well - it really adds to the trusting and friendly atmosphere.
(99502115)

Very friendly welcome. Our room was good, if a little on the small side. The bed was excellent - all the couples in our group remarked on the good nights sleep they had each night. The breakfast was first class.
