Parking could be an issue for some visitors- best check before you book. We came by train- very handy.

Location central and in quiet, pleasant shopping/ eating street. Good provision of tea/coffee in room (but why only one drinking choc??)

Poor lighting in room. Noisy neighbouring room (not hotel's fault)

Breakfast served fresh during week but inferior buffet style at weekends. Evening restaurant food average but don't have the pizza....they're rubbish!
(97960106)

Location, close to town centre and all attractions.

Very noisy street outside room.

Very good value for money. Well positioned in the city.

A bit noisy in the morning
james from Epsom, GB (Mature couple) 30 May 2007
Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and realise that the traffic noise is something that is beyond your control. We feel that we were given all the relative information when we booked except about the very busy road. The windows seemed to be a problem with several residents so they probably need some attention.

Olde Worlde charm, lovely friendly breakfast staff, nice clean comfortable room, good food, good facilities and plenty of space.

Very noisy traffic and also noise from the pub below late at night. Windows that you couldn't close to shut the noise out.

The hotel was within easy walking distance of the station, race course, cricket ground and cathedral. There are lots of things to do and see in Worcester and plenty of places to eat.
(99622061)

It was central for all amenities

Slightly noisy in the mornings

The room was very modern and had good view from windows. bed was comfortable and other areas good because of the setting

The standard of cleaning in my room was none plus. also I had no toilet rolls, milk for drinks. bins were not emptied.room was not cleaned all the time we were there. also need tempary ramp to eating house. possibly mobile one to allow access for disabled users. my husband hurt his back to lifting wheelchair. we were not told about these things hen we booked.

the hotel has a very good atmosphere very friendly and within east access to the town centre

Basic room and facilities, clean enough but the place is dated. The bar downstairs was a dive and I'd go to the bar across the road if you are looking for a drink.

Proximity to the city centre.

The breakfast was very poor.

No lift (so far as I know - didn't bother us but could be a problem.) Strange that reception is in a different building to the bedrooms. Slightly scary and dark secure entrance door to rooms.
Discount voucher for car park supposed to be 50% off but was only 25% or so.
Breakfast was served fast and was excellent
Overall very good for a 2** hotel
(99368940)

Very old building, but right in the heart of the city. Excellent for the Cathedral, river, shopping and restaurants

Having to use the NCP car park

Have and would stay at this hotel again, but next visit request a quieter room with less noisy bed springs!!
(3304566243)

Good Value for money, convenient position and friendly staff.

Extremely noisy for about 1 hour from 5.45am whilst bin lorry and deliveries were being made. Bed springs were noisy when turning over in the night.

Other than the two points mentioned we had a very good stay. The food staff and overall ambience was excellent.

Soundproofing of bedroom is essential as room overlooked abusy room.It was not possible to regulate the temperature in the bedroom and it was too hot even with a fan running all night.Other

Nice, comfortable room. Location on a busy street was a little noisy but not terribly so. Friendly staff and very good food in the pub and restaurant.
(3304337061)

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast, convenient location. Very comfortable rooms

Our room on the first floor required walking through the reception/lounge smoking area. We are non-smokers and it would have been nice to avoid that area.
Denise from Egremont, United Kingdom;GB (Mature couple) 09 March 2006
Nice & central for town. All staff very friendly, helpful & pleasant. Has no smoking area. Has ground floor rooms.
(3304215052)

Hotel comfortable & had relaxing bar & lounges.

Bit of noise from traffic, double glazing would probably help.
george from muswell hill, United Kingdom;GB (Solo business traveller) 25 November 2005
The picture on the web site does the hotel no favours, it's a friendly place with good food and a shower to knock you over! My wish would be for better bedding rather than sheets and blankets.

Friendly place

new duvets, I was cold
Terence from CRAWLEY, United Kingdom;GB (Mature couple) 10 October 2005
The hotel is in a great location for a stay in the town but only NCP parking is available. This is subsidised by 50% but still works out at nearly £5 per day. The rooms near to the main road are quite noisy so if you're early to bed or a late riser this will be a problem for you. The staff are friendly and polite. The bar area is lively and popular being right next to the Vue cinema.
(2751831)

The hotel is in a near-perfect location for local sightseeing. Breakfast is excellent. Overall quality of food is good, but we did have a rather disappointing curry. The room was well-prepared each day and in a timely fashion.

No alarm clock provided in the room and the early morning call we booked only happened one out of the four days so we had to rely on a mobile phone alarm. At check-in we were asked if we wanted a paper each morning but it only arrived on the first day of our stay. The tap handles kept falling off.

Live batteries in the TV remote controller.

There was a minor issue in that the bathroom light did not work...it was reported but not fixed...this did not really cause too much inconvenience
