This was a last minute booking for a visit we had to make to an ancient relative. We were pleased to find this hotel online at an exceptional price. Excellent room, a proper breakfast and an excellent peaceful location. Visiting a relative or not we would like to return - and next time stay longer and bring the golf clubs and swimming costumes! after booking on the internet and getting confirmation we arrived to be told that there was no available rooms it was booked by mistake after complaining we were given rooms the double beds were well past there use by date and we had a very uncomfortable nights sleep and my mother in laws room was the same (99087388)

A very pleasing and relaxing stay in a delightful area on the outskirts of Plymouth. Staff were all very helpful and obliging. The room was spacious and well equiped. The only downside was the noisy air conditioning fan that was located below our bedroom window . (99080891)

The Room sizes are fantastic, and the fit fit & finish is to a good standard.

There are quite a few scuff marks and rough edges around the hotel, and the dining areas could do with a spruce up. Is it a golf club house, brasserie?.

We stayed here as a base to explore Devon and Cornwall and it was very good. We used the excellant swimming pool and jacussi every day. The staff were very attentive but there did not appear to be enough to serve meals when the hotel was full. (99576302)

The first room we were given was awful, the bed was like sleeping on a table, there were marks all over the floor, light bulb not working and cobwebs. When asked the following morning to be moved we told that it had been a superior room and that they only had standard rooms available. This was much better than the so called superior room. Our friends in another room were over the function room which had functions on for both nights.

On the whole we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel was comfortable and large enough so that we didn't worry about our young children making a noise. The staff were friendly and courteous. However, though I had e-mailed the hotel to notify them that it was my husband's birthday on our day of arrival, they took no notice. A bunch of flowers or a bottle of plonk in the bedroom would have been a nice touch. (2230439)

We reserved a family room. It was huge with a bunk bed for the children, fabulous views of the golf course and tea making facilities. However, the bed was very uncomfortable!

The breakfast was chaotic and slow. Tables were not laid for late-comers. There was no fresh bread or rolls.

We stayed after having a meal elsewhere and thus arrived at the hotel quite late at night. It would have been nice to be able to check out slightly later as we were in the hotel for less than twelve hours in total. This did not give us much chance to actually experience any of the other facilities, bar or tour the grounds. The hotel and the room were absolutely gorgeous and the only thing that I personally would have liked would have been candles available in the room for a bit of romanticism. I would recommend this hotel without a shadow of a doubt (1913501)

I had previously tried to book this hotel direct, and was told that the New Year package was compulsory when rooms were booked at the special rate of £90 per night. I was therefore delighted to find that I could book the rooms at the same rate with your company, without having to book the New Year Gala meal at £60 per person. (1694096)
