We spent a lot of money on the room we thought had caracter and would provide above average facilities. The reality was a sparse room, obviously cutting corners where possible and soooo over priced for what was offered. Extreemly disappointed. (107259901)

negative comments 1/ Picture onoline gave impression of an olde worlde hotel with carature - not a 4 year old modern hotel the same as all the others. 2/ The room had dirty glasses in the bathroom 3/ There were no toiletries in the bathroom, which meant we had to leave the hotel and buy them ourselves, reception only giving us a bar of soap. 4/ The double room hid the second towel in a draw, causing great frustration. 5/ There was no air conditioining only a fan to circulate the already warm air. 6/ Not all channels on TV were available as advertised. 7/ The selection of breakfast food was very limited 8/ The cereals at breakfast were not covered causing them to become stale.

The hotel met all our expectations. For a short weekend break we could not have asked for more. I only had one problem with the in room kettle not working but it was replaced within 5 mins, as it turned out i hadnt activated the electric with the key card so the kettle was in fine working order from the start (97506898)

positive comments It was everything we needed for an overnight stay and more, the pool was great for my young son and the twin room was extremely comfortable

The hotel is an excellent venue for those visiting the nearby Leeds Castle - just a fifteen minute taxi ride away. The staff were knowledgable about the surrounding area and indeed the Castle - they were able to answer our questions about the Ground Regulations and prevented us from having to throw away our three bottles of wine (as many had to) on arrival at the concert. As we were forewarned we were able to decant our wine into platic bottles and enjoy our picnic at the concert - James Blunt, if anyone is actually interested... he was BRILLIANT by the way and what a stunning venue for a concert. Anyway back to the hotel; great location, just off the M20 Maidstone. Superb facilities (sports and leisure). The staff provided us with a continental breakfast in our room at 0600 hours, as we had to leave for the Euro Tunnel at 0630 hours (half an hour before official breakfast time started). Check in and out was quick and easy. Will derfinately consider staying here again. (3304895307)

positive comments Large spacious room. Good sized bathroom. Friendly accommodating staff.
negative comments No air conditioning - although a fan was provided.

The food was excellent both in the village pub and breakfast. Breakfast was a bit slow in re-supplying though but overall excellent value. My wife is a vegetarian and was very pleased with the food. The staff were very friendly, polite and extremely helpful especially the bar staff and front desk personell. (3304884133)

positive comments It was clean, simple and comfortable.
negative comments A couple of towels were slightly dirty but when that is the only pick up point it says a great deal about how good the rest was.

We were going to a summer concert at Leeds Castle so the location of this hotel was excellent. There was a pub, restaurant & leisure club on site which was fantastic. (3304384697)

I cannot really find fault with the hotel. It was clean, comfortable and had a friendly atmosphere. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The food was good and the price was reasonable. (3304899575)

Overall a very positive experience. I think the website could have done more to promote this hotel over others in the area. The extent and quality of the leisure facilities and the inn/restaurant all came as a pleasant suprise. (3304633104)

positive comments Clean, well appointed, smart decor
negative comments No complaints

Every aspect of stay was fine except bar food. Reception and bar staff were fantastic and really went out of their way to help. The bar food was a disgrace. Steak pie contained no proper meat, only grizzle (2 pies were both the same). Sausages & mash contained undercooked sausages. We ordered 15 meals and they were generally disappointing. Starter'platters' were good! You need to throw out your supplier, get some good food and cook it better!Breakfast, however was fine - thanks! (2824166)

positive comments Hotel and room/facilities very good, staff at reception and bar really brilliant, couldn't be more helpful
negative comments Food in bar is appalling

The deluxe room did not have much more than the standard room. One would assume that a deluxe room came with reasonable view, our room however overlooked the swimming pool roof. (2672762)

positive comments The hotel is still very modern and clean. Excellent leisure facilities.
negative comments Air conditioning, sky tv. I felt the hotel was too expensive for what it was.
