positive comments it was clean and peaceful
negative comments the 1st room was above the front door where people congregated to smoke this drifted into our room which was unpleasent as we are both non smokers. This was sorted very quickly and we moved rooms .

Good

we were disappointed with the appearance of our room, the linen and furniture were out of date (a bit fawlty towers!) but the size was ideal for us as we had a baby with a cot. Our room was very hot and we think this was due to being situated over the pool area. the staff were very friendly and helpful and this made our stay very pleasant. we did feel it was expensive for what we got. positive comments location and helpful staff
negative comments decor and furniture was out of date and tired looking, breakfast was rather average pool area needs some attention. unable to shut shower door etc

The rooms although clean are rather shabby and in need of upgrading. I was allocated a room that was very small and only had a shower cubicle but when asked the staff did move me to a slightly larger room with a bath. The room was not cleaned or replenished in the morning although the bed was made. I saw the certificates for the restaurant so decided to try it, very disappointing. The grill breakfast was greasy and overcooked. Dinner was very bland, I had the homemade mushroom soup which was tasteless followed by a fillet steak which was underdone for a med-well and was also quite tastless. The presentation of the food was remarkable. Shame. Mt only other comment would be with reference to banging doors all through the night and early morning. As it is such an old building you expect creaks and the rustic noises of an old building but not to the detriment of a good nights sleep. The room doors are all rather close together and have to be 'banged' to close properly. Not recommended if going for a relaxing couple of days. (3304417773)

positive comments The location is awesome and the hotel in general very clean. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. It has the atmosphere of a family run hotel.
