Nice hotel, good clean room. There are stairs to cope with that lead to the bedrooms within the room. The restaurant and hotel staff where very helpful. Not sure how the restaurant got its 2 M* rating, as we have been to 1 M* places that have been better. Although the food was not bad,the restaurant was a bit old looking. If you do not expect to much from this place, the staff are great and it is somewhere I would stop for a night or two. (3304722346)

It was clean and had everything for an overnight stay

It had had a smoker stop in it, and we asked for a non smoking room, and they where not full. No tea and coffee making facilities, which would have been nice. The stairs to the bedroom where a problem for me, as I am disabled, and been you book online the details of the room does not tell you that your bedroom is up stiars within the room.

Very difficult to find at night, drove around for 40 minutes and had to ask directions three times. Only one small sign post was seen and that is just off the motorway.

We were very pleased with almost all aspects of the hotel. The location is set above the town and has a beautiful view. The front of the hotel is set in mature trees. Our room overlooked the valley and town. The large windows were useful to leave open as the weather was very comfortable for sleeping. The public areas of the hotel were most attractive, in particular the bar and restaurant. (3305105909)

Overall the hotel was a nice place to stay and positioned above the town so that it was secluded and quiet. The staff were helpful and courteous, the food was good but presented in an overly elaborate manner and in our case on a fake roof tile which allowed juices from the food to spill onto the table cloth. Not very nice. I was not aware that there was no air conditioning at this hotel and although this is common in Europe it would have been helpful to know this in advance. (3305002424)

The room was a good size, nicely decorated and provided everything necessary for an overnight stay.

The bathroom shower curtain was very dirty. The space allowed for hanging clothes is totally inadequate.

The restaurant food is wonderful! And reasonably priced. Worth going there just for that. But the hotel is hard to find, especially in the dark. The staff are friendly, and there's a nice atmosphere.It represents very good value for money, especially if you book online. We would happily stay there overnight again, though if we stayed longer I think it would be difficult to keep clothes tidy as there isn't much storage space for clothing in the rooms. If you travel with pots and pans and kettles, you'll like the little kitchens attached to each room. (2791492)

Signposting! We got lost again and had to ask for help. Lighting at the entrance to the site. There were a lot of things lacking at breakfast - cutlery, and also some basic breakfast items.

Room was somewhat spartan but very clean and well maintained.

Outside area around pool is very dated.

Overall impression very good the staff were friendly polite and willing to help, there was a little bit of a language problem but they coped well and i was not made to feel inadequate for being an ill educated englishman. The resturant was very good and the service was prompt and proffessional. If i have a need to be in the same area again i will be happy to stay once more. The sign posting for the hotel entrance and reception area could be a little clearer and made to look more inviting the outside of the hotel doesnt' really reflect the high standard of the inside. However this might add to the pleasent suprise once you have checked in. (2791998)

Good standard accomadation finished to a high quality above all else spotlessly clean(one of my main criteria).

The Hotel has obviously recently been refurbished or is in process the pool was not in operation and looked abit unsightly, i did have difficulty in obtaining hot water and it would be better if the rooms had proper showers or shower heads over the bath.
