Overall, the hotel was adequate but for a hotel that was recently refurbished, some of the fittings and decor looked a bit dated.

The bathroom was showing signs of mould in the shower area.

General review of the hotel is we enjoyed our stay and facilities and meals were good, evening meal excellent value and very well served and presented. Over all an enjoyable stay. Would recommend to our friends and family.

The size of the bed. Staff were friendly and helpful overall a very good experience.

The Toilet facility in the room was restrictive, shower ok. Toilet very inadequate. Cleaning of Bathroom was not done on a daily basis. Would suggest perhaps larger towels for showering as holiday makers do not tend to carry these with them.

Every thing that was stated on the Internet site when I booked this accomadation was pretty accurate as I also read the reviews.

The room was small but comfortable with a four poster bed, plenty storage and good tv facilities. The room had a small kitchenette behind cupboard doors which was ideal but the room was not big enough to accommodate this. The bathroom was a good size with a lovely spa bath, and nice lighting in the ceiling.

Nothing in particular as the price we paid was excellent but I dont think it deserves the four star rating.

Cleanliness good;staff very friendly and pleased to help.Due to the nature of the building, sound carries and can cause disturbance.Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Overall the accomodation was adequate, including the breakfast. The bathroom consisted of a quite small shower cubicle, sink and toilet. Although the shower fell off the wall when first used the water volume was good. Only five standard channels on TV, though for the one night stay it didn't cause a problem. We stayed during a hot spell (30 deg +) and air conditioning would have been useful. The receptionist did find us a desk fan which helped.

It is basically a bed and breakfast masquerading as a hotel. The ensuite bathroom was tiny and almost impossible to use. The fixtures and fittings were adequate/poor. It is very expensive and very poor value for money.

Overall, we had a nice stay. We only got to sample the breakfast during the 2 night stay, which was a full traditional English and was very nice. An evening meal wasn`t available on the day we arrived which was a Sunday but wasn`t too sure whether it was available on the Monday night or not, it was however a Bank Holiday. The workforce seemed very nice, what we saw of them, but I`m sure they would have been very helpful if asked anything.

The location was very good, right on the Promenade and close to Lord Street. Very clean and tidy, although the double room we were in had a lovely big bed, it didn`t leave much space for anything else. The en-suite was just a little too cramped and I would have preferred wardrobes rather than a large unit housing equipment such as a microwave, fridge etc. I did like the `no smoking` but feel it should also include the bar/lounge area.

The bar area was too small and closing time of 10pm is too early.

There wasn't information on the website that evening meals were only avaliable on certain nights. Only advised of the fact after booking in at the hotel.

Overall very clean and comfortable.

Although the single room boasted a 3/4 double bed, it did make the room very cramped. I would haver prefered an ordinary single bed and slightly more room to move about
