Guest reviews of the Best Western Leicester Stage Hotel

Good
NICOLA from CUCKFIELD, GB (Young couple) 10 September 2008

We chose this hotel as literally somewhere to sleep after attending a wedding. It was clean and functional and served it s purpose well. Don t expect luxury or personal service but for £54 a night with breakfast it was good value for money. (107281502)

positive comments very good value for money and great that breakfast was included too which was suprisingly good with a good choice of food.
negative comments very impersonal due to chain nature of hotel and rooms are not stylish just plain and functional. the bathroom was grubby could do with new tyling and a lick of paint but otherwise all working and had everything you needed.

positive comments Helpful staff, comfortable bed and great English breakfast.
negative comments General decor one would say is a little tired and the hotel rooms could do with a makeover Stained carpets and grubby bathroom comes to mind.

The hotel was close to the city, so it was easy to take a bus ride into town. The price per night was very good especially the fact that breakfast was included. The staff were very friendly, but then people in Leicester are a friendly lot any way. The Hotel was clean and pleasant, and I would definately stay there again. (97919849)

positive comments The fact that we could get breakfast in the price
negative comments The pillows

Dissapointed in the location. (99895743)

negative comments Soap was so difficult to get out of dispenser!!! not enough towels for two people (1 hand and 1 bath). draw missing in unit. just gave the impression of being a bit uncared for with these niggly things.

Overall we like the hotel but on 7th April, staffs dealing with breakfast were very rude and impolite. (99339324)

negative comments The light in bathroom was flickering.

the food in the hotel was atrocious. Service was poor, food was disgusting and pratically inedible; for dinner we had fish and chips the fish was full of grease and tasted like rubber. The breakfast was not much better and did not really cater for vegetarians. (99071186)

positive comments Generally clean and tidy, staff friendly
negative comments superior room was not what I call superior,

Hotel is fine. Staff were helpful. Breakfast a little less than impressive - cold, things running out - but had worse. Nice Pool facilities and gym, sauna, steam room, etc. (99859045)

positive comments Free upgrade to four-poster bed
negative comments Heating not on - room cold when we arrived

Good value accommodation for a short stay. Only a short drive to the city centre but without the hassle and cost of parking at a more central hotel. Plenty of parking and located in a pleasant part of the city. The staff we met were polite and helpful. (3305483958)

The staff at breakfast were friendly and helpful as were the staff in the gym. Standard room, clean and tidy. Buffet breakfast had been stood under the heaters for too long but the restaurant staff were helpful with any requests. Efficient booking in and leaving process. (3304481020)

positive comments Excellent shower. Useful to have use of gym and pool.
negative comments Uncomfortable beds. Breakfast boring.
