We had some initial problems checking in due to the busy season and a glitch in their reservation system. Thankfully, the staff were very apologetic and anxious to make sure that we had a comfortable stay. The pleasant attitude of the staff is reason enough to return to this hotel! (99267141)

The hotel staff were very accommodating and eager to please. The rooms were spacious. The location was fantastic. The room had a beautiful view of the harbor, was close to the city center, yet was relatively quiet.

The staff were extremely helpful. We were on our honeymoon and so we were allocated a very nice room, which made the stay extra special. The buffet breakfast was excellent, and there was tea and coffee available all day. The location was also brilliant, very close to the City central.

The hotel is about 10 minutes walk along the main shopping street to the centre of the town. Or you can cross the road and walk along the shore to the harbour. The room was spacious , with kitchen/lounge/shower toilet, but hadn't a great view at the rear of a tatty carpark. Unfortunately the bedroom curtain was obviously broken for half its length, not good in 24hr light and when you're at floor level. I was promised it would be fixed but after 3 days it hadn't been. Luckily utilising the cutlery I managed a tempoary solution. Theres a car park to the front and rear and a Dominos pizza takeaway + 24hour shop close by - 100yds. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of continental items, sometimes a bit busy in the mornings. The staff were good at queries, except room problems! (3304680663)

The room on the first floor was at the same level as a car park and the bedroom curtain only covered half of the window due to broken hooks. After being promised it would be fixed it never was for our 3 day stay, how long it had been like that who knows?

The facilities in the kitchen were poor. You should go up to the room and have a look. This standard is not acceptable.

The main advantage of the hotel was the staff. They helped everyone quickly and without a fuss despite the fact that a lot of us had arrived to the city when it was all but shut (24th December). Despite this the guy at reception managed to find us all places in a restaurant in another hotel. He organised taxis, showed directions on maps and gave advice to travellers so that he was constantly busy. (3304033806)

Larger beds. Lower prices - Iceland is consistently too expensive in the the capital.

We lost a pair of pyjamas. It might be the mistake of the housekeeper, and we await still to hear from the hotel - whether they have found it, and if not, whether we would be compensated for it. So far we have found the staff professional and helpful, and we hope they will carry this through in the handling of the mystery of the missing pyjamas. (2977168)

As I was only going to be in Reykjavik for four nights I had all my trips planned in advance. The hotel was a good base for exploring Reykjavik and also a good pickup point for tours. The room facilities were fine. However, it would have been nice to get an early breakfast (before 7AM) when I had an early plane to catch. I was told there would be something available from 5.30 but I didn't find very much. (1791018)
