The hotel was very nice, the breakfast was fantastic, unfortunatley we did not use all the facilities available but they did look good. The hotel was only a 10 minute walk from the paddock entrance to Brands Hatch. There was also someone on the reception desk at 12am so we could check in and also get drinks at the bar. All in all a very nice hotel, nice food, fantastic rooms - i would definatley reccomend this to anyone. (97252443)

no robes in room due to did not have enough - eventually got one between us but no belt - still take it to pool as they will not lend you one - rooms small - huge telly make a list before you ring anyone as you will feel sorry for them backwards and forwards up the hallway - dont stay when another event on - we did and staffing level was hopeless - weekend breadfast starts to late if you are on an early start (99129378)

Really enjoyed it, made to feel very welcome, food good, staff very good. The fact that there were weddings on successive nights did not detract from the stay, although I must say that as this seems to happen to me quite often - I would like to have known beforehand. The room, the really nice smellies in the bathroom and just about the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel.

The only complaint I had was the phone was not working in my room but the staff did all they could to rectify the situation and ensured I got a personal wake up call.

We had only booked an overnight stay to break our journey on the way to a wedding the next day. Therefore , we didn't get to use all the facilites. However, what we saw of the hotel seemed nice and the staff that were on duty for our stay were friendly and helpful. I was impresssed to get a courtesy call two days before we arrived, asking me if I wanted to reserve a table for dinner. My adice would be to anyone staying during 'the wedding' season'...if you want peace and quiet ask to have a room away from where they hold the wedding receptions. Thank You! (3304417995)

My wife and I both thouroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brandshatch Place hotel and would return, on the condition that a larger (smoking)room was available. I will also have to save more money in order to endulge in the spa facilities and spoil ourselves on the food without worrying about the mounting bill. Thanks for a memorabe stay, excellent. Ironing board difficult to access, that's about all

The spa (the main reason for us going) was quite small especially as it is open to non guests. This meant that on a Saturday afternoon it was infested with children. If you stay here and want some peace, use the spa after 7pm. Once the children have gone the pool is very nice, very warm if a bit shallow. The hydro therapy pool and steam room is great. The restaurant was not as good as expected (although it was good). The staff and menus (and prices) raise expectations well beyond the actual food delivered. The layout of the hotel was like a maze and we were offered no help with luggage on arrival. Guests in a room above ours left their kids in the room who played 'jump off the bed and make lots of noise' for several hours. The hotel was unable to locate the room in order to resolve this problem. (3304173644)

Although the hotel was clean, tidy & staff were helpful, I did not feel it offered the luxury I was looking for. On the positive, the room was large & offered everything it said it would. The restaurant was fantastic. The food was imaginative, extremely well prepared & beautifully presented (although there could have been more choice for vegetarians). The Spa was easily accessible & has been refurbished to a high standard. I found the hotel staff to be helpful & efficient. On the negative side, my room was a little shabby looking (as noted in previous question); my room was also a fair hike from the reception (I was in the Mews) & I got lost trying to find my way back. I went to the Hotel & Spa as a getaway & was looking for a relaxing time, however, I was unable to book in for a single treatment the whole time I was there (Fri-Sun)as the receptionist told me there was no room. The Spa staff were generally unhelpful. On the Saturday night, there was a function in one of the function rooms & the noise & music carried on extremely late, meaning that I got no sleep until gone 4am. (3304172217)

The hotel was conveniently situated and set in fairly well maintained gardens, although the noise from the motorway could be heard and seen from our room at the front of the hotel. The accomodation was very good, clean and comfortable with additional facilities, e.g. iron, ironing board, hairdryer, tea making facilities and also a huge, wide screen television which I thought was intrusive within the size of room and inappropriate. The website information about the cost of the hotel needs to be more specific - I understood from the information that I read that the full cost, including VAT would be £140 but infact I was charge the additional sum of just over £25 for two breakfasts - quite exhorbitant!! The public areas, including the dining room and leisure facilities were extremely good. (2411916)

The bedroom was well equipped and furbished and so was the bathroom.

There had been a wedding in the hotel on the Saturday and the outside areas that had been used were still covered in cigarette ends and rubbish by midday the following day!! -I really feel that this should have been cleaned long before other residents had access to the area the following day.

Distance of room from main hotel - either an outside walk or up-and-down-stairs- and-passages was a little disconcering, as was the noise from the racetrack once outside, but upon reflection what else could one expect from being so close to Brands Hatch? I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and the rooms were of an excellent standard. I would like to have known of the refurbishment work being undertaken to the SPA as I was disappointed that the swimming pool and snooker tables were out of order. The major disappointment with the hotel that would put me off recommending it to others was the price of food, both in the restaurant and via room service. Although the restaurant staff were very friendly I found the food rich, fatty and uninspiring. Too many items on the menu had surcharges and how anyone can justify charging over £5 for beans on toast (plus a £4 service charge) is beyond me and detracted from an otherwise wonderful hotel.
