I had a smoking room and although the room was not to smoky the corridor was disgusting

Our only real complaint was the cost but this is England and prices are high everywhere. This is actually one of the lowest prices we could find. The online room reservation was a snap and I received my room confirmation email within minutes. When we arrived it took less than 5 minutes to get checked in. This hotel has relationships with a couple of Taxi services and can have a taxi waiting when you need one. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family traveling on a budget in England. We would stay here again if our travels brought us this way. (97686840)

I am familiar with Days Inn hotels and this stay was typical of my past experiences. The hotel and room were clean and the No Smoking Room appeared to be just that. There was no lingering smoky stench from an old smoking room with a new sticker on the door. The Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful; specifically with directions and taxi reservations. This hotel was located in a Comfort Center. There were several food and service establishments within a 2 minute walk and we found them to be useful during our 2 night stay.

There was no phone in the room and that may be a problem for some but it was a nice change of pace for us. The bed seemed to sag in the middle and probably could use a new mattress. (Just being picky here)

After i asked to be swapped to a non-smoking room it was just fine. The smoking rooms smelt too strongly....could they not all be non-smoking? (97149113)

I have stayed in many good standard and also many budget hotels but would say that the rival budget hotels offer better value. This is only the second time I have stayed in a Days Inn and both venues were of poor cleanliness. As mentioned the member of staff i dealt with was very helpful and friendly. (99611325)

This was perfect accommodation & excellent value for money. The room was very clean & the staff very pleasant. Great having the option of a tray breakfast delivered to your room. The only negative point would be having to walk across to the services for something to eat at night - more due to me being on my own & it was dark. Overall it was an enjoyable stay, the room was comfortable, clean and warm. It was also very quiet considering you had rooms occupied all around you. It was very easy to arrange the booking and the price was fair. It was an expensive taxi ride from the airport, but that is not the hotel's fault. The reception was pleasant, but the room was a bit tatty - stain on table, bathroom door wouldn't shut. But I was pleased that despite being so near the airport and services, it was quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. (3304743392)

Overall good value for money and very clean. However, with aircraft overhead and being next to a motorway was quite noisy. Would stay in the hotel again, but would request a room at the quieter side of the hotel [unless the noisier side fitted with triple glazing]. From reading information on hotel it seemed there was a shuttle service so when i arrived at Stansted i went to the area for shuttle buses. Asked several bus drivers before one said he passed near the hotel; when i disembarked it was unclear where the entrance to the hotel was and i wandered around with a heavy suitcase for sometime before finding it.
