This hotel has everything I could have asked for great location, fantastic food I would recommend the restaurant to everyone and the staff were very helpful. I am already planning my next weekend.

Nice room, good check in. Polite and helpful staff.

Shame about the room service being unavailable in the evening.

HAVE STAYED HERE BEFORE. STAFF HELPFUL, ROOM FINE, BREAKFAST GOOD

NOTHING - IT WAS AS WE EXPECTED HAVING STAYED THERE BEFORE

I would recommend the hotel but only if the quality of the bed is improved. My colleagues were satisfied with the beds in their rooms.

Clean, fresh, bright. The fresh fruit was a nice touch.

The bed was the most uncomfortable I've slept in in the last 20 years. I could feel all the springs! The fridge door refused to open.

i would liked to have known it was part of the Clifton Group as previous stays in the group hotels can create discounts.

The area of Bristol in which the hotel is situated, and the english breakfasts.

The extra charge for parking.

The frontage of the hotel is very good, easy car parking and staff very welcoming. The single room was very basic, bed very worn, and shower and toilet with washhand basin in very small space. The shower did not work on the second morning. I was offered the chance to shower in another room, but time did not allow for this. I was given a reduciton in my bill to make up for this. Accommodation was adequate.
Staff were very attentive, so I would consider staying at the hotel again, for a short stay, but would hope to be given a better room.
Breakfasts were good, with a good selection of food.
Overall room was adequate but could do with a new bed.

Location of the hotel was very good, close to shops, bus stops etc.

Room was very basic, bed was very worn, and shower did not work on second morning. I was offered to use a shower in another room, but I did not have time to do so. I appreciated this offer and was given a reduction in the bill, again very much appreciated.

Good location, inexpensive compared to central Bristol hotels. Limited but safe and cheap parking. Helpful, friendly staff throughout, clean rooms and good food, lovely sunny walled garden - just a bit shabby in places but we will definitely go back again.

Very easy to find, on the doorstep of Clifton with shops, restaurants and good access into Bristol. Friendly staff, lovely homely accommodation and excellent value for money. Even the sun came out!

A little bit worn round the edges, needs a bit of loving care in the decor/furnishings showing some wear.

Good location in Clifton and friendly reception staff

The directions to the hotel could do with updating as there appears to be a lot of building work in the city affecting some of the landmarks mentioned. The top floor is a long way up so it would be worth checking that people ok with stairs before giving them those rooms. As we only stayed the one night we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel, but it was long enough to notice how helpful the staff were.

The staff were friendly and efficient, rooms were clean.

We had problems with our bathroom door that had to be sorted by housekeeping.
James from London, United Kingdom;GB (Family with young children) 21 April 2006
Always friendly and efficient. The hotel is well located for Clifton and its shopping, the zoo, the Downs and, of course, the spectacular suspension bridge. Service in the restaurant is friendly and the food is good. The hotel has an overall friendly feel to it - highly recommended. Will always return to the Rodney!
(3304421400)

The Rodney has always been a firm favourite - we have stayed many times. We like its position in Clifton and the staff have always been friendly and efficient. We shall always come back to the Rodney.

If we had any negative comment it would be that the bathrooms could be up-dated.

Well located in Clifton village. Nice touches of fresh fruit and biscuits in the room.
Anonymous (Young couple) 20 February 2006
As said above there were a mixture of problems and I would never stay here again. A cold night in a very basic room but in a good location. Recieved a good discount in return for the poor stay and was pleased with this. Staff are good but the hotel itself needs some work.
(3304261519)

Location of Hotel was very nice in Clifton Village. Everything else very basic.

Damp patches on walls were unattractive to say the least. No water available at hotel and had to get in car and drive to petrol station at 1am. Say there is parking but in fact about nine bays of which even though hotel only half full. Finally the heating did not work and my girlfriend and I hardly slept at all.
