Very clean, basic accommodation with all the essentials catered for. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff.

Though the hotel did seem clean, the landing/lift area could have smelled cleaner. The bathroom flooded a bit because the floor didn't slope enough towards the drain.

The hotel and the booking were first class. Waiting to get a drink at the bar was a bit lengthy and could be improved. The continental breakfast lacked items such as cheese and eggs, an observation in that other Hotels we have stayed at across the Globe have provided this as a selection. Our negative comment is with regard to booking and getting a taxi, chaos would the best way to describe it and this needs to be improved for your customers.Also the driver we used did not have local knowledge of the area and took us the longest route possible to the City Centre. Overall though a good hotel and one that should be recommended for future travellers to the Oxford area. (99720103)

I don't think there is much more that can be said about our stay before this review starts to sound like an advert for your hotel. All I can add is that we were delighted to have made such a good booking by sheer chance on the website. (3305214633)

Most of all we were impressed by the cleanliness of our accomodation, especially the toilet and washing facility. We were also made to feel very comfortable by the freindly and helpful nature of your staff during our short stay. We readily admit these features to be very much a priority of ours along with the quiet nights and the genuine friendliness of the staff.

If a hotel has airconditioning, as this did, it is highly disappointing that this was not turned on. Since this was the hottest July week on record, it begs the question as to exactly when the air conditioning is used. The breakfast was poor - the Holiday Inn Express is dearer than, say, an Ibis, but its breakfast range was much weaker. There was no cheese, meat, boiled eggs; and the croissants were stale.
