Nice room, good price, friendly staff

Not adequate ventilation in bathroom and water kept running hot and cold during shower

The hotel itself was well placed and in a very nice setting. It was located in a nice quiet area and convenient for the motorway. We would certainly stay again without hesitation and have already recommended it to friends. (97425201)

The warm welcome we received when we arrived. The rest of the staff, gentleman who delivered out breakfast and the lady cleaner were very pleasant and polite. We enjoyed our Continental breakfast which was delivered to our room.

DAYS INN, M1 MOTORWAY, SHEFFIELD, UK We were here for 3 nights for the funeral of a close relative. The location on the motorway gave us the freedom to drive where we needed to go in Sheffield. In the middle of the night at 5am (following the day of the funeral, which was not what we needed!!!), we had a major incident, with huge banging coming from upstairs that woke us up - it sounded like someone throwing furniture around or jumping off the bed - it was much too loud to be either normal walking or sex. We went upstairs to see what was going on. There were two voices, a man and a women inside the room, not angry, but quite loud. We reported it to reception. They apologised and seemed to go to look into it, but nothing more seems to have been done. Next morning on checkout, reception knew nothing about it. We told them what had happened and were told that it should just have been a woman on her own in that room. They seemed very cross the night staff had not done more to sort it out and were apologetic. We were assured the manager would investigate and contact us yesterday or today. This has not happened. It seems we have been forgotten about again. We are not especially happy about this and think it bad that we have been ignored. We know this noise was the fault of other guests, but it was not handled well by the staff / management. No response as yet to our complaint. (97317836)

We have satyed here several times. The rooms here are reasonable for the price. Liked the TV having Sky Satellite channels, although it would have been good to have a dozen more. Shower and bath were decent. Plenty of towels. Liked having a box of tissues in the room.

On arrival, it smelt disgusting, like someone had been smoking in reception, which is illegal of course. Reception was totally disorganised, not ready for us, forgot to give us a key or tell us which room we were in, and frankly it was all a bit strange. In the room, the toilet is too close to the toilet paper holder and wall. The bed is a bit small for 2 adults.

Gigantic traffic jams on the M1 motorway made it difficult to stay here. The hotel needs a back entrance to local roads so you don't need to go on the motorway.

We found the hotel on the internet and so did not know that there was not a cafe/restaurant as part of the complex. But perhaps this is usual with travel lodge accommodation. We did have an early evening meal out at Hardwick Inn about 4/5 miles away, as we didn't relish the motorway cafe menu. If we were visiting the area again the Days Inn would be a convenient stop at a reasonable price. Overall clean, comfortable but could do with new pillows and a couple of armchairs in the Executive rooms. (97434668)

It was handy for motorway and NT property we were visiting It was clean relatively comfortable/warm, good bathroom and tea making facilities. In our package full English breakfast was included at the motorway cafe but we understood this was not necessarily the norm.

The upright bucket chairs were comfortable for a short while but as we spent a whole evening in our room we would have appreciated proper armchairs to sit and read and watch TV. We did not like the very flat pillows which gave no support. With help of staff we ended up with 3 each.

it was clean with plenty of room and had everything needed for a pleasant stay.

The hotel was easy to find although we had to travel back one junction going South on the M1. Having eating options nearby as opposed to eating at the services was very important and the hotel receptionist was very helpful in directing us to a conveiently situated pub. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chocolate on the in room 'tray' with a complimentary bottle of water and snack bar. Great touch much appreciated. The continental breakfast was much more than we expected and very enjoyable. Would definately stay here again and recommend to colleagues. (99712236)

The bath was growing black mould around the edges and the loo seat was rusty. The bathroom floor was very dirty and the area around the back and sides of the bed was thick with dust and hair. The continental breakfast was ok but we weren't given enough milk for two bowls of cereal. My biggest complaint is around service,the receptionist on duty was very unhelpful and disinterested and was only concerned about when we were going to pay. She asked what we wanted for breakfast and she looked very put out that we didn't already know what was available and flashed a list of cereals at us. Apparently the night receptionist was much more friendly. (2836330)
