the staff was lovely good value for money and clean

the bathroom wasn't very nice

The hotel was very good value: a nice place to stay and staffed by very pleasant and cheerful people. The room (Executive Grade) was spacious and very comfortable and perfectly good enough for a longer stay. We were most impressed and will certainly use a Days Inn again should the need arise. A pleasant surprise; much better than we expected from a 'Service Station' establishment. We particularly appreciated being able to open the windows.

It is a motorway hotel with the only facilities being in the motorway services ideal for the travelling public but not for those wanting to holiday in the area. (97316062)

The price a special deal

Accommodation was basic and clean the heating was not turned on in the room and took several hours to warm up. I had to request new soap as the dispenser's were both empty. This was seen to immediately by the receptionist.

Had a tired feel about it - guttering was in a poor state.

The staff were unable to assign me a room using the system although the booking was there... but it was quickly dealt with. Room overall very nice. I would come back. (99144591)

bathroom fixtures were shabby.. poorly repaired broken tiles and stained worktops. Breakfast was advertised as all you can eat but the cooked breakfast was offered and served as a standard plate.. no options to choose preferences or go back for more. would like hash browns and black pudding as options

V. comfortable & friendly staff

Except for the poor lighting and the poor showerhead everything else was fine. However, these two problems diminished the rating considerably as a good show and bright reading lights are the two most important things to me as a business traveller. (99245002)

Although the fridge in the room had a couple of tiny ice trays, it would be good if the hotel had an icemaker for the use of guests. I wasn't even able to get ice at the service station. (3304620612)

Easy to find & loads of parking.

No exit from the site other than to the motorway. I was less than a mile from my office, but to get there and back I had to drive about 20 miles.

The hotel facilities, are undergoing painting etc, the hotel was clean, and the room adequate. (3304598363)

the room was stifling hot when we arrived and had to turn the wall heater off altogether,the wall above the heater was charred black with heat damage.I suggest that the heaters be of the type that have a thermostat control on the front to control the temperature. (3304447112)
