Loved that the hotel allowed me to check in very early--7 am--after an overnight transatlantic flight. Room was spacious and clean, but fixtures in the bathroom were coming apart (e.g., the towel rail was loose and would pull off the wall if not careful).

Clean, central, very comfortable.

The room was very hot for the first few days, the thermostat was very high.

It would be best to book a room at the back of the hotel as it is extremely noisy at the front. We stayed on a Saturday night and the noise goes on until 5 in the morning when the night clubs close. The tram also passes outside the door. It can also get very stuffy in the rooms if the windows are closed and the heating is on. Ceiling fans would be an addition. However the location is excellent,2 mins from Grafton St. The hotel is very charming with beautiful rooms.

Good breakfast,good shower, central location.

Noise from street too intrusive, too hot at night time.

The location of the hotel was perfect for the central amenities of Dublin City. The room was extremely well presented and the bathroom facilities were second to none. Continental breakfast was first class and the choice very good.

We found the stay at Albany House good. Because of the rugby match between Ireland and France there were many people in the streets during the nights, shouting and discussing very loud !
But thats nothing to do with hotel service and stay, which we were very happy about.

When we asked to change rooms the second night the staff were extremely helpful. We were given a lovely room in the basement at the rear of the hotel, it was small but so was the first one! I would recommend this hotel because it has a great location, only two minutes from St.Stephens green and at most five to ten minutes walk to the shops, bars and restaurants around Grafton Street. Very lovely area of Dublin!
(99533095)

Majority of staff were very helpful and friendly.Hotel was very clean and breakfast was excellent.

First room was at the front of the hotel, very noisy with the trams and then the clubs. The night porter was terrible, on the second night he almost refused to let us in, we were both sober and it was only midnight!!

The day before my travel date I received a phone call from Albany House advising me that they had had a burst water pipe and could therefore not accommodate us. They had relocated us a few doors down the street into Harrington Hall. The accommodation there was really lovely. We were given a suite which was fab. The staff were very helpful. We truely enjoyed our stay

Virtually everything - the cleanliness, the excellent breakfast, its central location, the shower, the friendliness of the staff.

We were in a room at the rear of the hotel, so we were OK, but the noise of drunken revellers at 3.00am on both nights must have disturbed guests at the front of the room. Also rather dim bedside lights.

The room was a good size and very clean. Bathroom was very nice. The hotel itself was beautiful and convienent to the city center.

No elevator (lift) and there was a problem with an alarm going off in a nearby building that lasted for two days. The hotel did move me to another room for a night so I could get some sleep, so I appreciate that.

The fact that the front rooms overlook the LUAS tram line might bother some people when their windows are open (as the tram does start running very early in the morning). The lack of a lift might also be a problem for some guests. Otherwise the hotel is very comfortable for non-smokers.
(3304956223)

Authentic Georgian house in the centre of Dublin. Very convenient for the LUAS Green line to the south.

My room was a litle small - but I was only paying for a single and I did get a double bed. Only small bars of soap are provided with no adequate soap dish in the shower to hold them. A liquid soap dispenser in the shower would be better - plus a small bottle of shampoo.
Leanne from Coventry, United Kingdom;GB (Group of adult friends) 05 July 2006
Our stay at the Ablany House was very good. Staff were freindly and polite and welcomed us when we arrived after ten at night. The hotel was clean and tidy and the period features were a refreshing change from box standard hotels. The continetal breakfast was lovely. A great range of fruits and cereals really made a great start to the day. Taxi from the airport to the hotel was about twenty euros, this did go up on the sunday to about thrity/thirty five. This would have been nice to know but that was no fault of the hotel.
(3304345896)

The location was great. Walking distance from main shops and near to Temple bar without being to loud at night.

The rooms were dark. Extra lighting needed as they were gloomy and an ironing board would have helped.

We all enjoyed an excellent few days in Dublin. Accommodation was in good setting for us - not too near the busy part but well within walking distance. Would possibly have been nice to have had a bar in hotel for evenings which would have suited all members of our party but this did not detract from the hotel at all.
(3304380689)

Accommodation was very comfortable, plenty of room to move about - hotel is spacious, high ceilings etc. making it seem larger.

Value for money accomadation within walking distance of Dublin's places of interest. Though far enough away for a good nights sleep.24 hr reception if you are arriving late, the Albany House would definitely be a hotel we would stay in again. Rooms on three or four floors, this could be a problem if you have limited mobility so request a low floor. Other than that we could not really fault the accomadation at all A great location for both trams and buses, this place is ideally situated, Love the hotel love Dublin as well.
(3304220742)

everything about the hotel was excellent - location, cleanliness, friendliness of breakfast staff

there was nothing to dislike about the hotel, though if you have limited mobility the request of a low floor room is a must.

The Albany House is a really nice hotel and in a great location. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast staff was great. The front desk staff is a little cool, but efficient. The only problem I had with the hotel is the location of our room. It was in the basement and on the street.
(3304438117)

The breakfast was great and the breakfast staff was incredible nice and curtious.

Our room was in the basement facing the street and it was loud.

I felt safe in this hotel being a single woman but would have liked to have been informed of the lack of a lift or have been helped to carry my luggage to and from my room. I appreciated the hotel being so close to the city centre so therefore didn't have to worry about local transport.
