Although I have passed through Paris several times, this was the first time I'd stayed there. A map in the room would have been nice (though there was a good map in the stand by Reception). I was never certain if Reception staff wanted to let me speak French or talk to me in English. Good that I could leave a suitcase after I'd checked out, until my next journey that evening.
