On looking at quite a few hotels on-line, I noticed this one because the building looked very attractive. On looking at the gallery of the hotel, it was sold to us. We wanted a hotel, which had a gym, sauna, pool and Jacuzzi. As we were only over for the weekend, we wanted everything to be easily accessible to us. On arriving at the hotel, we were greeted in a friendly manner by the staff and made to feel very welcome. The staff could not do enough for us. Breakfast was included in the room price and it was excellent. In the end, we did not eat out and ate at the hotel. The food was fantastic as was the service. The champagne lounge was breath taking. It was fantastic to be drinking champagne cocktails, which were made by someone who knew what he was doing! Our room was beautiful and very comfortable with everything we needed. We had already decided that we would return to the same hotel at some point soon. We cannot wait! (97506853)

Overall a pleasant stay. Food and drink excellent, staff courteous. Pluses outweigh the few teething problems experienced although lack of car parking is an issue and also very annoying to be asked to vacate tables in the champagne bar because locals have booked these tables from 8pm - surely paying guests should come first! New rooms refurbished to a very high standard. Bathroom and shower excellent. Free in room safe a good feature.

A few teething problems experienced i.e. hot & cold bath taps were connected the wrong way round; flat screen tv nice but quality of picture very poor; could not get in room internet connection to work; whilst plenty of hanging space only very limited draw space for clothes.

The Grand is an excellent hotel & being improved at present. The staff were most efficient & positive.

really enjoyed stay in hotel. excellent situation. food excellent. health spa facilities although small were excellent. only down side was terrace bar which is open to non residents and got busy at peak times making it difficult to find a table to sit and relax with a drink overlooking the bay. room was well equipped and spotlessly clean throughout stay. very comfortable bed and pillows. lots of storage. also had iron/ironing board which was really useful.

We stay at hotels fairly regularly, always at 4-star, and this is certainly one of the best we have stayed at in recent years. Particularly the staff, many of thesm Polish or other non-British, were efficient,charming and clearly well-trained without exception. Wonderful Palm-court-type piano entertainment at meals. the hotel was in a good position for shopping and for evening walks;the food in the restaurant was very nice and well presented and the staff friendly and helpfull.

the bedrooms were much too hot; there should be air conditioning in all the bedrooms - a fan was provided but didn't make much difference.

Good sized room and ensuite bathroom which was clean.

Veiw from room was onto other buildings which were about 50yards away room quiet noisy during the night with people on street level.

Our stay was delightful. The room, although not having a great view, was roomy and pleasant. The hotel, however, was excellent. Staff were most helpful and courteous, and very attentive. The restaurant was most comfortable with good menu choices. Breakfast was relaxed and there was never a long wait for plates etc. to be cleared. Dinner was well prepared and excellently presented, and there was a good range of wines. Staff were friendly and took time to chat. The main asset, however, was the location. Not only were there superb sea views, but the hotel was only a few minutes walk from St. Helier. Moreover, buses to some other parts of the island stopped almost outside the hotel. All in all this was a most relaxing break and we will certainly be returning soon(its been 27 years since we were last in Jersey!). (3304661899)

I have virtually said everything really the reception staff were helpful as were the restaurant staff we did not really have any contact with many other staff we did have 1 meal in the restaurant in the evening which I am sorry to say we thought overpriced for the amount we were given tne breakfasts however were very good. The accommodation,although good was disappointing. The room was next to the lift and it was difficult to settle to sleep. The restaurant menu was excellent but all the food was seasoned with garlic. It would have been helpful to be informed of this prior to ordering as I have an allergy to the onion family which includes garlic and therefore I was not able to eat much of the meal. This very nice hotel is on the outskirts of St Helier but only 5 minutes walk from the main area of shops and resteraunts. The staff were allways polite and helpful. I booked a standard room but received a free unexpected upgrade to a park veiw room. Couldn't fault any aspects of the service or food here. (2324696)

We had a very enjoyable first visit to Jeresy, and we feel we made the right choice booking the Grand hotel. Staff very pleasant, rooms clean, room service also good. We ate twice in the hotel, the first night the meal was excellent, unfortunately the following night was very poor, really for a 4* we expected the food to be consistant. The only down side to the hotel is the main road, but I suppose the beautiful view of Elizabeth island more than compensates. (1987247)
