First Hotel Kolding

I was very impressed by the modern feel to this hotel. The room was very nice and the equipment was modern. Booking was easy and the staff were very good. There was a slight problem with the rooms - only 1 had been booked but it was clear when the information was retrieved that 2 were required. This was sorted out quickly but if the hotel had been full we might have had a problem. Overall this was a good experience and I would not hesitate to recommend or use this hotel again. (97015045)

The hotel has a very Scandinavian, cosmopolitan feel. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are spotless. The hotel seems to be new and consequently so are all the fittings and the furniture. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms well airconditioned. The power shower in the morning is a real treat. The flat-screen TV on the wall can be connected to a laptop for viewing DVD's or as a large-screen monitor. Tea and coffee making facilities, a rarity in Europe, are provided in the rooms. Food served in the cafe-bar-restaurant in the foyer is well prepared and tasty, although very cafe-esque as far as the menu is concerned. However, the hotel is well situated on a town square, with a variety of eating establishments in the area. The breakfast is outstanding, with a healthy, varied selection of cheese, breads, cold meats and freshly baked pastries. There is also scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages for those that like a hot breakfast. Parking is safe, clean and plentiful in the easily accessible basement parking. Lifts are clean and quiet. The hotel, in general is peaceful and conducive to a good nights' rest. (99863208)
