Rather weak welcome from the lady of the house, quickly shown room and then left to it. Given a brief chat on where to eat locally. Very noisy on the first morning due to some guests leaving at 5am! As our room (No2) wes under the creaky stairs. Standard breakfast, and although we requested the night before a non meat breakfast for my wife the host 'forgot', and therefore she had to wait for hers while I ate mine. The room was very small for a double, just a few inches along one side of the bed, no tv or hairdryer, needs a good clean, redecorating and updating. Obviously a reluctance to spend money! Excellent location, very quiet and off the beaten track, literally! We like old properties as we own a 16th century house.

very cramped, the room was really only single size. needed some TLC a coat of new paint and a good clean. Old and worn out needed a facelift.Grubby carpet.

We would have liked to have warmer, as we were paying for a room central heating in February should not have been an issue. We would like to recommend The Chequers Public House, which is 2 miles from the guest house for evening meals. (3304293044)
