The location. Temple Bar may not be the place to stay for a restful night's sleep as there is so much nightlife, but it is centrally situated for a lot of local sights and is within walking distance of the Airlink Bus from the airport.

Could do with double or even triple glazing plus aircon so that you can shut out the nighttime noise yet still stay cool.

the bed was very small, it was supposedly a double but it was tiny.
Patrick from Kettering, GB (Mature couple) 28 February 2008
The staff were very helpful, our initial room had a problem with the heating and outside noise, they immediately ofered us another room, which was most agreeable. Overall we had an excellent time there. The breakfast was superb.
(97662483)

It was modern, clean and well styled. The room was warm and comfortable.
Annie from Rugby, GB (Young couple) 05 February 2008
Location is excellent and is the main reason I would definitely stay in this hotel again - it's perfect if the main purpose of your stay is to experience the buzzing atmosphere of Temple Bar.
Rooms were a little dated (decor wise) but clean and tidy and good value for money. Breakfast was OK - consisted of a continental buffet - croissants, cheese and salami - followed by a cooked breakfast. I chose the full Irish which consisted of 1 piece of bacon, 2 slim sausages, half a tomato, black pudding and an egg (either scrambled or fried). As it was included in the price of our stay breakfast was an added bonus, but I wouldn't have paid for it otherwise.
(97938123)

Location - excellent for going out around Temple Bar, O'Connell St. and Grafton St.

Staff could have been friendlier, but on the whole, service was still good.

I enjoyed this hotel, the staff and the facilities and the trip in general. My only gripe is that the hotel would not accept a maestro card (debit card) when booking, only a credit card, which I didnt have and had to obtain the use of a friends. It would be good to use my debit card in future.

Good location, clean and well decorated rooms, breakfast was more than adequate with a varied selection of food. Bar snacks were reasonable compared with bars etc outside. Easy to walk to all attractions and the free use of umberellas was a nice touch for Irelands changeable weather. All in all a very good hotel for the price, we will use it again.
(97392684)

centrally located with good facilities for all types of traveller.

rooms could do with better windows to block out the music and noise from the street below

Overall an excellent hotel although the front street can be noisy with late night revellers. Room service menu better then reataurants?
Drinks a tad expensive but more than offset by the friendly and welcomeing ambience in this gem of a hotel that offers good value and plush surroundings.

The hotel is in a great location, in the heart of the Temple Bar area close to many of the bars, restaurants and shops. The room was well equipped with flat screen TV, trouser press, hairdryer and most important tea and coffee making facilities. All in all, very good value for money. I travel to Dublin quite reguarly and will definately stay again.

Excellent location

Lack of professional knowledge and English amongst members of the staff. Most of them didn't know the language very well. 5 mornings we tried in vain to get an egg with a runny yolk for instance. When clearing the table they leaned over us across the table instead of going round it. Only small things but some training would do.

location was good, breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Staff were friendly.

A bit noisy at night time from the night club, single room was very small, bathroom could've been nicer.(no window covering, just frosted glass)
Anonymous (Mature couple) 18 May 2006
We stayed in May 2006 for 3 nights Monday to Thursday and the hotel was in a excellent location for shops, bars etc. Even although the hotel is within the main bar area of Dublin there was not a lot of night time noise that disrupted our stay. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was very clean and more than adequate for our needs.
(3304455222)

Nothing

The room was nice and large

There was no CD player or DVD player in the room, like some other rooms
Stewart from UPWEY, Australia;AU (Mature couple) 17 May 2006
The hotel was well presented and exactly what was wanted in terms of both location and accommodation. Not for those wanting some peace and quiet. Right splat bang in the middle of the Dublin night life, which is very energetic. Close to everything both day and night. Great place to stay.
(3304520411)

Location and comfort

The proximity of the night clubs next door - sound insulation was 'ok' - not bad enough to detract from the stay in the hotel.
Anonymous (Mature couple) 17 May 2006
We moved from our first room because of the noise from party goers. We weren't being miserable but at 3.30 in the morning there's only so many verses of 'It's a long road to Tipperrary' you can cope with. OUt next room was at the back but still noisy from the heating units. It was considerably smaller but had the same amount of furniture which made it worse. Might recommend hotel but would mention noise.

Overall this hotel meets my requirements for somewhere central to stay when out for the night in Dublin City Centre. Its clean with nice staff and the breakfast isn't too bad either!

I like the fact that the hotel is so central. Wherever you are in the city centre, when its time for bed its only a short walk away.

everything was great
Alison from Bridgend, United Kingdom;GB (Mature couple) 09 April 2006
The car parking was a little confusing for an overnight stay and possibly a little more information before we arrived would have helped even though we managed to pay only the basic overnight charge. On the whole there is very little more we needed to know.
(3304402679)

The location was fantastic. The breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful in all aspects of their work. We had a refurbished room and this was very pleasant and modern. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel very much and would stay there again if returning to Dublin.

Possibly in the bar area, some low seating would help as we only saw high stools.
