Nice hotel - quick check in - great breakfast.

Unfortunate that we couldn't use the phone in the room to make an 0800 calling card call without opening another line of credit for ₤20. I found that frustrating. Also, we had requested extra pillows on our internet reservation form, but did not have extra pillows in the room. When I went down to ask for them, I was told the hotel was "out of pillows."

Excellent Reception staff on check in. Very pleasant and helpful. My details from my last visit were recorded and she recognised us.Parking was easy and with an attendant on duty plus CCTV, felt quite secure.Breakfast was included and was more than adequate. We ate an evening meal at the Italian restaurant next door - very convenient.

Our room this time was at the front and the double glazing was not adequate to stop the traffic noise. Rooms overlooking the carpark do not suffer in this way.

Nice spacious room, very clean and comfortable bed. Staff quite friendly and helpful and the information within the room regarding services etc was very helpful and thorough. Sky Sports 1 and 2 and Sky 1.

Shower fixture was very loose and almost fell off the wall. Decor of room was nice but the tatty bedspread at the end of the bed let it down a bit. When checking in we were not told that we had to state extra services such as use of the telephone, this therefore caused problems when we wanted to use the room phone as reception had to set this up once we had called down to reception to query why is was not functional. Also we were not informed that we had to put the key card in the slot to power the electricity for the room, this wasted quite a bit of time trying to establish why the lights wouldn't work. The continental breakfast was quite poor, with guests having to toast their own toast in a toaster which was located on a table in the dining area, surely a contravention to health and safety as there were young children running around that could have pulled the toaster off the side.

The hotel facilities fitted our needs perfectly as we were visiting the O2 Venue. The staff were efficient and when we report the problem with our TV it was fixed while we were out. Breakfast was amply and everything was fresh. It might be more helpful in the hotel details on the web if it advised customers using the tube to get off at Canning town, as it is only a short walk from there. Its a bit misleading when you get a map of the area as it looks closer to Victoria Docks. Other than that everything was fine. (97088809)

I was happy to spend the night and the hotel is very clean and very presentable. one tiny problem was that they didnot accept my debit card at the front desk as a prepayment method and insisted on a credit card which i found strange had i flown 500 miles and arrived with no credit card i would have been very unhappy at this (97394935)

I felt that the hotel,staff were very helpful and the hotel was pleasant to stay in as acheap and cheerful no frills hotel. Whilst the breakfast was adequate I felt that it could have been a little more imaginative and it appeared to be understaffed when busy. Overall we preferred the Express Holiday Inn by the O2 though breakfast was still the same there it appeared cleaner brighter than the one by the Docklands. Staff in both hotels very helpful and friendly our compliments to them. I do feel breakfast needs to be reviewed and I always feel short changed to be honest with our CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST!! and don't really wish to eat loads of bread and cakes, maybe the British way of having breakfast could be taken into consideration before its lost for ever sorry to rant!! but I do feel strongly about this. Really good, clean rooms and reception area. Bar open till 2am, good facilities. Great location to underground station, and excellent location for O2 arena (just one tube stop away). Overall, a great place to crash for a night, with a good buzz and atmosphere. (GREAT shower!!)

I would like to know sights available in London and the locations of these and the relevant tube stations to enlight at. I noticed that there was a file at reception but there really wasnt the kind of information that I was seeking.I used to be a receptionist so I know that reception staff should be able to answer any relevant questions of London, times, information etc or know where or whom to contact to get this information for the visitor.The lift was no working on the day we checked out of the hotel which meant that as I have problems walking far or lifting a very difficult couple of trips to our floor and bringing our suitcases down to ground floor. Convenient for o2 and good value for money

The reception staff gave incorrect details of the location of Her majestys Theatre which meant they sent us to the wrong tube station and therefore we had no alternative but to get a taxi as we didn't have enough time left to get to the theatre.This cost us £10 and an unnecessary stress as we arrived as the curtain was going up!! Luckily we had allowed plenty of time to get there.I suggest reception staff should be better equipped to answer locality questions.
