The hotel was clean, and the room was well laid out as was the hotel in general. This is NOT a 5-star hotel, but it is a clean, functional hotel in which to rest. There were good locks on the room doors, and the sleeping was easy. The decor is quite old, but it is clean. Not a place to stay if you are looking for a 5 star hotel experience, but a good place to sleep. (108095184)

Happy overall, definitely good value for money. Bright, clean room with large wardrobe and a table and chair. Cold tap on bath not working was a pain, and that we couldn't have the volume loud enough on the TV, but overall satisfied and will return. (99502292)

positive comments value for money, cleanliness
negative comments cold tap on bath didn't work, volume on tv only reaches half way

We were glad to have read other reviews before we went as they were very informative as to what to expect when we arrived. The hotel was quite dated but very clean and the atmosphere was very informal, the staff were very pleasant. We were disappointed that there were no tea making facilities and a dining room would of been nice as we went out for breakfast in the mornings so that we could be with our friends. (2772108)

positive comments Close to all ammenities
negative comments Could do with decorating

I was very happy with the accomodation, it was basic without bar and dining room but I preferred it like that, nice and quiet, the continental breakfast was excellant, it was very near to shops and restuarants, bars etc. It was a family run hotel, a nice traditional old building which I liked, and felt safe there. I would definetly go back there again, it was very cheap in price. I was also pleased about the confirmation of the booking, it was virtually straight away. (2592243)

positive comments It was a nice cosy room with adequate bathroom and very clean, room service for breakfast in the morning was excellent,it was a nice family run hotel nice and quiet, and you could come and go as you please,we only stayed a couple of nights, but we enjoyed and would come back again, very central to town.
negative comments Maybe shower curtain in the bath.
