Very pretty, individual and interesting, with lots of character. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful, also the owner. The food was excellent and the courtyard garden was a lovely sunny spot to have a drink/snack. Just a pity the weather wasn't good enough for the pool to be open.

Only one thing - our room had an unpleasant smell of stale smoke, although the room our children stayed in was fine.

Having 2 bedrooms was perfect for a family with small children. Clean, well-furnished and very comfortable. Staff were very attentive, courteous and helpful. Excellent meal, altho' a touch pricey.

La Tonnellerie was only supposed to be a stopover point on our trip to the south of France. As it turned out, it was one of the highlights of the whole trip both in terms of the accommodation and the food. The staff were warm and helpful; the grounds absolutely delightful. This is such a find! Can't understand why anyone would drive straight through from Calais to southern France without stopping off at this wonderful hotel. (3305000913)

The hotel is the main attraction in this small village and is very welcoming. It is a beautiful old house and has a wonderful restaurant set in fabulous gardens with a swimming pool. It is worth knowing that there is nothing else in the village really and it tends to be used as a stopover hotel rather than a place to stay for some time. We stayed 3 nights and saw many people come and go. (3304888269)

The hotel was beautiful with charming gardens and delightful public areas. The staff were wonderful and felt like friends after only two days. The food was delicious and beautifully presented.

Our suite was very pretty with a lovely bathroom but some of the furniture was tatty rather than quaint and drawers fell apart or would not pull out properly.

Although only a few minutes drive from the autoroute to Paris the hotel was quiet and relaxing. The food was exceptional and well presented. We would have liked a little more time to have walked down to the riverbank and to explore the region more but our travel schedule was too tight. (3304747200)

The Hotel was a refreshing change and one that I would return to. Initially booking made due to the capacity fo the hotel to provide a quad room although the quality of the hotel, its staff and the general feel fo the place was more than I expected. A lovely quite secluded feel to the place off the beaten track would make this an excellent place for a relaxing break (1962928)

The hotel accomodation was lovely with a relaxed feel about the place. The feel of quality was a refreshing break from some more packaged hotels, this one felt like it was real. Central courtyard with the gardens and outside pool made the place feel like an oasis away from the outside world. Breakfast was excellent!

Quality of the decoration in the room did not meet the same standards fo the hotel in general, felt that the room had not been redeccorated in general style since the 1970's Hotes difficult to find initiallly as slightly off the main roads and better directions would help
