A conveniently positioned hotel, not far from Autoroute, but beside the N74, therefore noisy. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Reception areas good, but bedrooms cramped and slightly shabby - not up to 3 star expectations. Food and wine excellent, but pricey. It is a very basic country side hotel, alongside the Route National near Aloxe Corton. The price is reasonable, but do njot expect too much. In fact there is not that much we liked, aprt from the room rate. But it muist be saif that the staff or owners do their utmost to offer a goord service level and the hotel is clean.

The rooms are very basic, though clean, but the restaurant offers poor food at and limited choice at a high prices. Also the regional wines, are strongly priced: 6 Euro for a glass of white winbe, although a goold Meursault, is high for an hotel of this class.

This is a lovely spot, with a very fine restaurant. (we particularly recommend the appetizers like eggs poached in chardonnay and hot oysters in balsamic). They make wine right next to the inn and you can taste wine in the caves. The 2000 Aloxe Croton is very fine and reasonably priced. Our room was clean and comfortable but not at all glamorous. It made for a nice break from the formulaic highway motels. Very pleasant and hardworking staff. (3304533054)

Overall I would recommend this hotel. The quaint old house was interesting and with vines literally up to our bedroom window it was a unique experience. The only drawback was the old bed and patch it up decoration. The cost for the room was cheap but the breakfast wasn't, so watch that. (2209109)

Close to busy road (although all the rooms do have double windows). Windows shut no problem, but different story in summer with windows open.

An excellent place to stay, but it would have been nice to have access to Satellite TV available, particularly given the international flavour of the area. Excellent breakfast, food of a high standard, and sampling the wine in the cellar is a must! (1472488)

Le proprietaire nous a montre 2 chambres horribles avant que nous aions pris le 3e . Les plafonds des chambres sous les touts sont trop bas pour mon mari, que est grand . L'hotel est charmant, mais pas de savon et pas de bonnets de douche dans la chambre . Les serviettes sont de mauvais qualitees , et 6 E pour une petite verre de vin, quand l' hotel dit qu'on peut gouter leur vin ???. gouter le vin du proprietere n'est pas JAMAIS nous offert , donc nous n'avons rien achete, meme si il soit bon. It was not what was advertised. I think it was misleading to show a better room, than what we got. The room shown was obviously for the highest priced room, however, there was only one price. There should be a picture of each price range, which clearly shows, when there is hardly any room. The room was so small you could hardly walk around the bed. We had to get out of one side of the bed only. The outside light was right outside our widow which remained on all night and there was insufficient curtains. Kept us awake most of the night. Then our neighbour came home at 1.30am and proceeded to make noise for the next hour like he was in our room. We travelled around Europe for 30 days and this was by far the worst accommodation we stayed in. (1349598)
