The restaurant food was exquisite but when you are traveling on a business trip (even at the weekend!) you want something simpler than a 3 course meal as provided Friday - Sunday. I would have preferred the opportunity to select one simple dish like the sole - and paid a little more for it -, rather than a 3 course meal. The breakfast was excellent on the other hand and the service personal but professional. Who could possibly ask for more? (97859921)

The rooms are excellent size with beautiful large balconies looking out over tropical gardens and pool.

The accommodation was fantastic.

The main attribute of this hotel it its staff. They are welcoming warm and nothing seems too much trouble. The food was great in the restaurant, the decor of which was lovely. The bedrooms are clean spacious with a balcony and the bathroom especially was newly refurbished and very spacious (97243577)

The directions for finding the hotel were very poor indeed, which is a pity, because the location is a good one for the main routes, including the airport. The room was excellent and the standard of maid service in the room excellent. The restaurant menu and service was very good, but the breakfast was exactly the same formula over a four day stay - a hotel of this quality could have varied the fare or provided a buffet choice. We did not find the staff as over-whelmingly friendly as the website suggested, but I don't want to go so far as criticising the service. (99696060)

this hotel was too far from beaces and town, in the middle of a retail/ trading estate and mainly used by business people for meetings and lunch. There are endless roundabouts and it was 30 minute drive to nearest beach. Although great hotel not suitable for holiday makers. (3305000312)

We travelled as a family with 2 younger children to take in a holiday and also the rugby. We enjoyed our stay as the hotel was clean and our rooms were of an excellent standard. The pool was also clean and the gardens well maintained. (3304519534)

assistance with luggage . Even though the concierge offered to help us with our bags, we were embarrased to let her becuase the bags were heavy. I think at the price of this hotel they should have a valet available.

Staying at Villa Duflot was a delightful experience, a first class hotel with excellent restaurant facilities. Public and bedroom accommodation is spacious and refined. Locating this hotel was not that easy and a better location description on the website would have been very welcome. All the staff were excellent and we would very much like to return to the Villa Duflot next year. (2722042)

This is a charming hotel with good ambience and excellent food. All staff were friendly and helpful. Large well appointed bedroom, with clean bed linen supplied every day.

Breakfast service was slow with often no staff available to welcome guests and take a breakfast order. Several guests were confused by the lack of staff presence at breakfast plus the long delays before breakfast food was served. However when the breakfast arrived it was excellent. Breakfast delays are not acceptable to most guests. Bedroom air conditioning was not effective.

We had a great time at the hotel and discovering the town. The restaurant is clearly well known among the locals as even out of season it was usually close to full, which made for a good atmosphere. The swimming pool and outside bar area are lovely. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The only disappointment was that the hotel is situated very close to a major road, on the outskirts of the town of Perpignan, in an area which includes a warehouse, and close to car dealerships, etc. While these are not visible or heard from the hotel, it was disappointing as we were hoping that the hotel would be in a more quaintly rural area. However this did not really impact our enjoyment of the holiday. (2626105)

The map to the hotel on their website is misleading and we spent an hour in Perpignan trying to find the hotel.

The hotel was very comfortable, clean and welcoming. The room was of a generous size as was the bathroom. It all had a nice feel about it from the moment we entered the hotel.The only comment I would like to make is that better directions are required as the hotel is on the outskirts of town and a bit difficult to find.
