nous avons eu l'occasion lors de précédents passages de bénéficier d'une chambre avec un balcon ; il n'y en pas beaucoup dans cet hôtel mais il vrai qu'à l'ocasion de notre dernière réservation nous aurions pu orienté notre choix vers ce type de chambre si l'information avait été précisée. Maintenant, nous avons peut-être choisi une prestation qui ne comprenait pas cette possbilité ???!!! (97584930)

Hotel with lots of character,charmingly presented, particularly with lots of local antiques. Well placed within the town yet quiet at night , with large public car park to rear. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended and will definately return. (99867784)

It was in a nice position

There were bare electrics wires in the room, in fact the electrics were dodgy altogether. The bathroom sink would not empty and the staff said they would have someone fix it the next day, a bit too late for us as were were leaving.

Saint Jean de Luz is very busy and parking is limited. Although there is a large public car park at the rear of the hotel, it was always full until late in the evening. (2482998)

The hotel building has a lot of character. The hotel is in a very good location, with a 5-minute walk through the main shopping street to the square and harbour.

A big eighteenth century coaching inn that has become a little shabby, but this is reflected in its very reasonable tariff and in all essentials (quietness, cleanliness, beds, baths, breakfasts)it does very well. It really is only a few minutes' walk from the beach, and is surrounded by interesting local cafes and shops. Useful internet connection. Biggest snag is the lack of any parking -you have to find a space in the crammed public car park behind, and watch the meter. No garden. Views are mainly of the street and car park. The elegant and comfortable historic building, lack of noise, excellent beds and bath, abundant breakfast coffee and fresh juice, friendly and helpful reception.

It would be helpful to give advance details of the car parking arrangements available nearby - perhaps post a local street map on a website. Parking anxieties detract from the first impression on arrival.

Overall the hotel was ideal, friendly and clean in a very good location. The only disapointment was, on arriving after a tiring flight we couldn't get a snack as room service. (2289728)
