We really liked our apartment, which overlooked the sea and it was lovely to hear the waves lapping against the shore whilst sitting on our balcony. We had an apartment for 4 Adults (apartment Type E), which had a double bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. There was only 2 of us and our 19month old and it was plenty big enough for us all. As, I said the weather wasn't great, but we made the most of our stay, going into Pula on the bus on wet days to amuse ourselves and enjoying the facilities of the on-site swimming pools on the hot days and taking plently of walks around the peninsular. We found it a very peaceful and relaxing place (probably because we were out of season at the end of May).

The apartment was very nice, very clean and modern with modern furniture, kitchen equipment and facilities (ie 3 ring hob, family size fridge, TV, hairdryer). Even our special requests were met, ie first floor apartment with a sea view.

On the whole the resort complex of Verudela is well laid out, with a selection of apartments and hotels all spread out amongst the woodland off a peninsular just outside Pula. Unfortunately, the area immediately surrounding Punta Verudela apartments lets the whole place down. The apartments themselves look like a prison camp and look very run down, I would have cried if we had been staying there. And the walkways that link them are in need of some upkeep as the weeds are coming up through the paving. It's better to stay in the Verudela Beach and Villa Apartments, which are just 5 mins walk away around the peninsular, but are set in gorgeous woodland. They are slightly more expensive but definitely worth the extra.
We were also disappointed with he on-site supermarket, which always seemed to have a low stock of bread and poor quality fresh fruit and veg, not to mention that it was very expensive compared with supermarkets in Pula itself, just a 20 min bus ride away. We still used it to buy fresh milk etc, but did our main shop in Pula instead.
The weather, but who can guarantee that. It rained for 4 out of 7 days we were there and there wasn't much to do to entertain our 19month old daughter, other than go for a wet walk around the complex or stay in the apartment. The children's playground was lacking in facilities, ie a couple of rundown swings and no slide and unfortunately the aquarium was closed whilst we were there (at the end of May).
