overall good for a 1/2 night stay.

Location + value for money
Superior bedroom rather small but clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom clean & modern but position of shower difficult to handle.

Breakfast - expensive for what was on offer
Superior bedroom small.

Good overall central location for the beach & shopping, easy to park.

Building work across the road, workmen started at 8am.
No Tea/Coffee making facilities in our room but our friends in next room did have.

Had a very enjoyable weekend
(107973099)

Friendly and helpful staff and location in the heart of Le Touquet, especially good for Saturday morning market.

Our party had 3 double rooms. 1 had no facility for hanging clothes but was changed when requested. 2 of 3 did not have any facilty for making drinks.Rooms were quite cramped.

location; good rooms for standard of hotel; good off-street parking

very poor fire escape facilities from upper floors; f&b costs very high for quality of hotel

Loved it! Thank you!
(108080421)

A room with character and personality!

The location and day of the week made for a very noisey evening and with the market setting up the next morning, there was a lot of noise early in the morning - this of course can not be helped and didnt take away from the experience!
Richard from Basingstoke, GB (Mature couple) 27 July 2008
This Hotel is in a good position and has parking.
We had a 'superior room' that I would have considered a standard room in any other hotel.
(97111414)

Location and parking

The light in the bathroom was intermittant - worked sometimes and not others.
There was a dead Fly on the floor for two days
The lift is slower than taking the stairs.
Margaret from Banchory, GB (Mature couple) 09 July 2008
Functional.
(97594451)

Central location.

Lack of mirror in room which can only be described as small in comparison with other hotels we hsve visited at much lower expense.
Narrow toilet and shower room.
Would not consider Hotel as value for money.
Hotel tried to charge our guests for 4 breakfasts which they did not have. Reviews on this hotel describe this act as normal.
Hotel literature prior to booking exageratted their facilities.
Breakfast inadequate at high cost.

The hotel certainly proved to be value for money for a short stay in October. The location is excellent with ample free parking and check-in was quick and efficient. Although the room was a touch on the small side it was comfortable with a well equipped bathroom and ample hot water. The main areas for improvement are the noisy plumbing and wooden floors that gave noise from above by people simply walking around.

It was close to the town and a bit noisy as there was some building work going on next to the hotel but a part from that you couldn't fault it.
(99399812)

It was all recently, nicely decorated and clean.

There was no tea making facilities in the room and the room was small.
Simon from Haywards Heath, GB (Other) 19 June 2007
Well run and very good value. A bit noisy in the early morning on market day (Saturday) so if you want a lie-in, book a room on the other side of the hotel. Would stay here again.

A hotel I would choose to use again. Location excellent for access and quiet at night. Room styling and decor minimal but clean and adequate for a short break. Courteous staff.
(99988359)

Location; cleanliness; style of the rooms.

Interesting decor in lounge; Good shower nozzle fitted to taps but no fittings to mount on the wall so as to be used a shower; Accomodation for clothes would be limited if staying for a longer period.
Anonymous (Mature couple) 30 May 2007
Being so close to the ferries and tunnel used by Brits the hotel is perfect with all amenities inc a most essential CAR PARK . This would be important during the period 22/6/07 to 22/8/07 when parking would be at its heaviest and charges are effective. A news channel with traffic and weather information is a must.
(99303456)

Practical Modern Clean

Lack of a news channel ie CNN / Sky /bbc 24 hr
Catherine from Whitstable, United Kingdom;GB (Group of adult friends) 25 May 2007
A car park was very nearby which was useful as we were motorcyclists. We all thought the breakfast was very expensive for what we got. Mainly bread and preserves. You would be better to eat in one of the restaurants in town, 12 euros was expensive. The staff were very helpful although hot water was in short supply. We were separated by two floors from our friends although we booked online in one hit.
It was good value for money as it is a two star and is being gradually renovated.
(99556443)

Very central.Friendly staff,

No hot water and we were not put in adjadcent rooms even though I booked the accommodation in good time and in one hit.

I liked the hotel but found it hard to sleep with the noise from other rooms as I am a light sleeper.
(99954514)

I liked the decoration and the fact that it was close to the city centre. The guy at reception was helpful and polite

The walls and floors where quite thin and I could hear people moving around and I couldn't sleep that well. The bed wasn't very comfortable

The hotel was tidy and ideal for the sort of trip that we had planned - lots of shopping and eating out so we only wanted a place to put our heads down at the end of the day.

There is no noise insulation in the hotel whatsoever! We had a first follor room and could hear comings and goings throughout the day and night from all angles.
Richard from Shipley, GB (Mature couple) 04 April 2007
In general, this is a friendly hotel. Very clean, and in a good position. I would probably stay there again, but only in the week when I would hope that it might be quieter.
(99962785)

Easy to find, within easy reach of restaurants, bars, shops and beach.

Noisy English lads coming in drunk at 4.00 am and waking us up!

Hotel was perfectly adequate for our needs ie an overnight stay. Would have liked to have been informed that renovation work was underway but it didn't detract from our enjoyment.
(99978285)

Convenient for the centre of Le Touquet and was clean and presentable.

There was renovation work going on that we were unaware of when we booked but it did not intrude upon the enjoyment of our stay.
Roy from Kidlington, United Kingdom;GB (Young couple) 23 November 2006
We have stayed in several hotels in the area. The Blue Cottage was as good as most we have stayed in. Located just off the main shopping area and resturants. Having their own parking makes life easier.
(99865508)

The bed was large and comfortuable. fixtures and fittings off a good standard

The Restuarant wasn't open

Annexe room was ok but because of sloping ceiling unsuitable for anyone over six feet tall.
Breakfast seems expensive (10 euros) for a cup of coffee and a croissant!

Hotel is situated in convenient part of town - beach and shops close by within walking distancs. Available free parking.
