Hotel was a good central location but the problem was parking - having to pay each day for parking and worried about if we would get a space again. The bird in reception was very amusing - the room cleaned well daily and always stocked up

breakfast looked poor value for money so we decided against it/ the hotel is looking tired from the outside and inside with re-decoration needed overall as the carpet on the stairs was very dangerous - like a trip hazaard and the lighting sensors were slow to come on at night time

Excellent family run hotel. Hosts are charming and delightful. Good location for the shops and a 10 minute walk to the old town. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast area is cosy and welcoming with no hard and fast rules about times - the oweners said we could have breakfast up to 10.30 or whatever. We left at 11 and they were still serving. Victor the wolfwhistling bird is very funny - he lives in reception! I will be staying there again the next time I go to Boulogne - I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else. (99714893)

The host was charming and made us very welcome. He was very attentive at breakfast making sure that we always had enough coffee and bread but nevertheless it was just a french breakfast.

Room was small and no coffee making facilties but we took our own kettle.

This hotel is the bees knees for travellers on a budget.From the outside it is not impressive but on entering the warmth of the welcome, the cleanliness & the value of the room rate will soon dispel any trepidations. Slightly cramped reception/lounge area

A great hotel very atmospheric, warm and friendly with clean and well decorated bedrooms and a good breakfast. For those with little French the staff speak good English and make you feel at home, but please try your French when talking to them, you will not be made to feel uncomfortable. The hotel is very close to the Speed Ferry port, park your car for free just outside the Speed Ferry exit at Bassin Napoleon and walk the short distance to the hotel. The staff and owners were extremely helpful and helped to make our hotel stay thoroughly enjoyable. I don't think i've stopped in a cleaner hotel and pound for pound this was superb value for money.

Parking in this area of Boulogne is a problem - eventually found a spot across the road. But that is not the concern of the hotel. Everything about the hotel pleased and the service was friendly and efficient. Had an excellent dinner at the hotel across the road( always a bit of a problem on Sunday evening in France. The on line booking process was very simple & straightforeward. Pity our directions to the hotel were in German! Please explain clearly about the one way system in Boulogne. We were fortunate to park right outside the hotel, {I have a disabled blue badge}. Apart from no soap in the shower room or my daughters bathroom the hotel was as described.Very central location but not at all noisey. Very clean & comfortable. We will definately stay there again. Parking facilities.

Although our room was quite small it was very comfortable. The shower room was adequate and there was plenty of very hot water. The furnishing of our room was pleasant (Im sure the quilted bed cover was hand made!) What made our stay so much nicer was the genuine friendly welcome from the owner. Breakfast was good lots of fresh fruit as well as cheese and the usual cereals etc. As to position it could not be better placed for Speedferries departures. Getting to the hotel involved a lot of one way streets but a good map helped. (2967353)

The only beef I have is regarding the location of the hotel. We were lucky as we managed to find a vacant parking space immediately outside the hotel on both days, but many guests may have a long walk with heavy suitcases. Also the incessant noise from motor scooters continued through the early hours. (2373159)
