This reduces my chance of usin Campanille again.
(107932408)

Only disappointment was the quality of the food compared to previos visits. When travellling I always chose a Campanille as I knew I could get a good meal on site.Evening meal was very poor-tough and uninteresting.
richard from newark, GB (Mature couple) 01 December 2008

convenient

got the bill wrong.seemed reluctant to correct it but did so in the end. have stayed with camponile several times before but at this one the place seemed drab maybe it was the grey calais day after 3 weeks of blue skies?
John Michael from Pontefract, GB (Mature couple) 21 July 2008
Having stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years, there seems to be a decline in the general condition.
(108051838)

General state of the hotel was clean and welcoming

Check in at the hotel was sorted out efficiently considering they had not received the booking from Active Hotels, for the second weekend running we had to change rooms due to faulty blinds and lack of curtains at the windows.
John Michael from Pontefract, GB (Mature couple) 20 July 2008
Stayed at the Campanile Calais on several occasions but have found that the general condition of the hotel is slowly deteriorating and is starting to look tired.
(108027607)

Everything about the hotel was very clean, Staff were helpful.

The first room we were given the window blind would not open, the second room we were given the blind worked with difficulty but there were no curtain fitted at the windows

Campanile Hotel up to the usual standard. Reliable. Dinner was good. Less local specialties on the menues this year than previously.
(99142515)

More than adequate accommodation, easy to find from Ferries & Channel Tunnel.
Morris from Coalville, United Kingdom;GB (Mature couple) 22 March 2007
A more informative map with directions to the Hotel would have been a help.
(99806825)

Provision of Tea and Coffee in room was welcome
Anonymous (Mature couple) 13 March 2007
It would be helpful to have better location maps on the web sites; we would also suggest slightly larger, therefore less crowded dining facilities
(99171279)

Cleanliness; simplicity; mattress!

Meaness of supply of the tea/coffee and especially milk - we're English!

Christina from Dumfries, United Kingdom;GB (Mature couple) 21 December 2006
Have stayed in this hotel on many occassions over the years so knew what we were getting in advance.
(99306699)

cleanliness, friendly english speaking staff and as usual good French food.

Have no complaints

Our room was approached from the carpark which meant walking out of the reception/dining area and across an open space. Had it been a wet day we would have got quite wet. We ate our evening meal in the hotel restaurant and we were disappointed with the food although the serving staff were very good.
(99062265)

The room was warm and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean and everything worked. There was plenty of hot water.

Tea and coffee making facilities were provided but I would not recommend anyone to drink the tea! One can understand the reason for disposable plastic cups but it does not add to the pleasure of a 'cuppa'.

For this particular single night stay the accomodation was perfect. We will be using the hotel again in the future, as well as recommending the hotel to family and friends.
(99938798)

The room was better than we had thought, although basic, it was very comfortable. The staff were very welcoming, and the restaurant food, both in the evening and at breakfast was extremely good.

We had fun finding it, but that may say more about our ability to follow instructions!!
Anonymous (Group of work colleagues) 18 November 2006
A good value for money hotel in an ideal location for Car Ferries and the Channel Tunnel.
(99288708)

Comfortable room and excellent food!
Anonymous (Mature couple) 26 October 2006
It would hav been intersting to have understood that the hotel was infact of motel design, although this did not detract from the level of service given by the staff.
The food facilities were good for both breakfast and evening meals.
(99671122)

Well positioned, easy to find. Equally good facilities with good hotel resturant.

Nothing especially, perhaps stairs a little difficult with suitcases
gordon from hull, United Kingdom;GB (Family with young children) 25 October 2006
