Beautiful secluded Chateau in large wooded park. Rooms in the Park in seperate chalets away from main building. Excellent dinner in the Chateau cellar restaurant and breakfast in a magnificent room also in the Chateau.

Difficult to find the hotel and my Tom Tom did not recognise the address. As a result we arrived in the dark and so our Room in the Park was difficult to find and the night reception did not speak English. TV in room did not work.

We stayed twice - once on our way down to the south and again on the way back and it was very good both times. The approach through the local housing estate was a little concerning but once through the gates the chateau makes up for it - so don't be put off!! Helpful staff (despite some of our limited language) and an excellent restaurant in the cellar. I would definitely stay there again. (97181883)

Although the 90€ rooms in the chateau are a little tired the whole building makes up for it - a charming chateau, beautiful furniture.

A very satisfactory stay within a peaceful park.Do not be put off by what some people have called 'tower blocks' nearby.This is a smallish estate of flats which is no bother at all. The hotel grounds are peaceful and secure, with a visiting pheasant or two.Be prepared to pay a little more than at some other hotels for the evening meal but it is worth it for the gastronomic and atmospheric restaurant. You might need to book to make sure you are axpected if eating in restaurant.Overall very relaxing and comfortable with pleasant staff.We would stop there again. (97454995)

Apart from cracked sink, thought bathroom was well designed and looked nice because of tiled areas, etc. Like having tea making facilities in room.

It was a bit dark (lights not that bright to brighten it up as it was out in the park and sunlight limited due to dull weather). One bed-side light did not work and cracked sink. Liquid milk would be better than powdered milk for tea drinkers.

We were made to park in another car park 200 metres from our accomodation, whereas there was a perfectly large car park 20 m from our accomodation.

Absence of a bar

Having stayed in French Chateau's before we had no real prior expectations. On arrival the reception was very welcoming and during our stay allbeit breif we found the general standard very clean and comfortable, and the restaurant staff very pleasant and accommodating and as my husband and I both enjoy fine dining we found the cuisine very good, and it was a central location for the places that we wanted to visit. The stay was very good value for money. The dinner was one of the best we have eaten - first class ingredients and beautifully presented. The Chateau was further from the town centre than we had realised but, having walked in , there was no problem getting a taxi back. Breakfast was served in a lovely room within the Chateau. Although the Chateau and dining room were very elegant they were not stuffy and you did not need to get formally dressed up. (3305002745)

When breakfast is offered till 10am I do not expect empty plates on the buffet table at 8.30 where items have not been replenished. I expect to be offered more coffee, I expect the toaster to be working, I expect to be asked if there is any thing I require. In short I expect a certain level of competance and service. The very poor breakfast experience was in complete contrast to the previous evenings meal in the restaurant which was extremely good value and was served in a professional and friendly manner. The poor breakfast would not stop me recommending this hotel but it was by far the worst hotel breakfast I have had in the past couple of years and this includes several trips to Eastern Europe. Accommodation is in a good location, very peaceful and set in beautiful grouds. Staff are extremely helpful and pleasant. Restaurant facilities offer an excellent, affordable cuisine of the highest standards. There is no bar but drinks are available from the restaurant. The accommodation is a little out of Cambrai town centre and taxis are hard to come by therefore vehicle is required. (1887376)

No lift access to second floor. Standard rooms comfortable but rather basic. Very limited selection of TV chanels for British Visitors. We were travelling by Motor cycle and Car parking is particularily important, this car park was very good, clean and secure.
