I left home before receiving a confirmation email from the hotel. There was a bit of a misunderstanding in that I thought the accommodation had been prepaid at the time of booking. It would be useful if the payment terms were shown more clearly in your website and confirmation email.

Excellent location. Owners obviously take great pride in their hotel, very finely decorated and maintained. Everything was very efficient, checking in and out, breakfast, cleaning etc Breakfast was the usual stuff but very nice and plentiful.

Just a personal note - we booked 2 Double Rooms and 1 Large Double Room for 3 couples. When the 1st couple checked in they were given keys for 2 rooms beside each other and a 3rd key for a room in a different area. The first 2 rooms were really nice with a split level design and outside of the normal hotel area. However, I wanted the big room for myself and partner so we were given the 3rd key. Much to my disappointment this was Room 4 which was a small older type room in the main hotel with no tea making facilities or any of the extras in the other two rooms. It also turned out to be very noisy as it was right on the stairs so from 8am onwards we were woken by all the other guests trundling down the stairs going to breakfast.

Had to sit down in shower as the roof was on a tilt. We stayed in the attic rooms on the 3rd floor and you couldn't open the window so it got very hot and stuffy.

The owner was very pleasent and helpful, taking the time to assist with directions and answering questions about the area etc. A great deal of time has also been spent on christmas decorations making the whole stay plesent. (97104066)

I had a room on the top floor (note no elevator!) with a slightly cramped slanting ceiling though a skylight window with a good view over the city more than made up for this. En suite room with small 29-channel TV and phone; no tea or coffee facilities, though that seems usual for European hotels. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff had maps of the town and were happy to show us what to see and do. I would happily stay here again. (99095414)

I would have liked to have known this hotel is in more of a residential location. A good 15 minute walk to the centre. Having someone with a diability made the stairs a bit awkward but we overcame everything and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. (99207164)
