I was looking for a cheap centally located near bus rail cafe and beach. This hotel ticked all the boxes the room which slept 3 was fine very clean. Manager / owner was both most welcoming informed us was were the local interests & did his best to help. (97561747)

Hotel is good is good value for money. Perfect for a short stay in Menton and surrounding area. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. English news programs on TV in room. Continental breakfast expensive at EUR 6.00 per person. You can buy cheaper in the town. (99529735)

Accomodation good value for money. Good view of mountains and central position in Menton. We had a room with a balcony.

Did not have air conditioning but left french doors open with shutters closed. Were woken by rubbish collection and street sweepers from 5.30 each morning even Sunday.

We went to watch the Monaco F1 GP and used Menton as our base, we did not need to stay in an elaborate hotel as we only needed basic accommodation, Hotel Richelieu served our purpose very well, it is easy to find and whilst it is close to the train/bus stations it is far enough away not to be disturbed by any noise. The hotel is very well placed for the main shopping/restaurant area. The room was functional, tv/wardrobe/drawers/shower etc. with clean laminate flooring. Our view was the back of the hotel and roofs of other buildings, but again we were not there to spend time looking out of the window so this was fine. The staff were very friendly and accommodating speaking adequate english, they were keen to provide us with any help and information. Breakfast was continental style and very nice. The only draw back was some other guests who seemed to return to the hotel every night well after mid-night and took to shouting and slamming doors - not very considerate. I would recommend this hotel as a good base for sight-seeing etc. However if you want a pool, bar and more holiday type accommodation this may not be for you. We would recommend this hotel and would use it again (we being 2 couples enjoying the break from kids/cooking and cleaning!). (2728130)

Whilst a little dated, it is clean and tidy with pleasant helpfull staff. It is only a short distance from the railway station, the local supermarket, which is at the end of the road, and most of the restaurants are only a short distance away. For those people looking for a budget hotel, i would happily reccomend it, without hesitation. (3304319890)
