shabby private and communal areas, broken sanitaryware, phone not working, staff unable to rectify above points, absent and then rude bar staff - half hour wait for one diet coke, unable to use leisure facilities with child unless at specific times, no breakfast menu in room, rooms located too near wedding party going on into the small hours.

I had an enjoyable stay at the hotel. It was very handy that we were able to check in earlier as we had had a long journey to the wedding and it was nice to shower after the journey and get ready at the hotel. (97518883)

Room was nice and spacious. Bed was nice and large. Was handy having an iron and ironing board. Nice to have the balcony with table and chairs (but they needed a bit of a clean).

Bath needed de-scaling- bad limescale marks from dripping tap. Maybe a few more toiletries, there wasn't enough for both of us, (lucky I brought some myself!). Only just enough toilet paper provided. The Norfolk room had a fridge but we didn't.

Spa, gym, pool, sauna, steam etc were all quiet and easily accessable. Spa (not officially opened at that point) was fantastic - staff and facility. Angela and her colleague could not do enough for us and were very accomodating. Geoff (Manager) was absolutely amazing - he was everywhere keeping an eye on things. We did complain about the food on the first night and he refunded without hesitation with apologies. He was very helpful about local area too.

Was not overally impressed with food aspect. The restaraunt was very nice but the staff and standard of food let it down badly. Very simple, basic food. However the buffet breakfast was fresh and more than adequate.

Breakfast should have been fully available at it's stated start time of 07:00, on the three mornings I attended breakfast this status was achieved at 07:25, 07:20 and 07:15. This meant that guests were waiting for their breakfast, people with appointments do not have this amount of time to lose in the morning. The TV in my first room was very obviously faulty. Hotel staff moved me to an alternative room without any problem. This type of problem should be detected when the rooms are prepared. This is the second hotel in this area that I have stayed at recently and overall the staff do not show a professional manner when compared to other parts of the country. (97119464)

This is not a hotel but a Golf facility willing to rip off guests at any opportunity. Service is rude and inefficient. The Hotel has great potential but must break the golf clubhouse attitude. I will never stay here again. (97887398)

Room was clean

The hotel is only a cash cow on the same site as golf and leisure facilities. Service was the worst I have encountered in any hotel. Noise, behaviour of other residents, total lack of service - dinner took over two hours, drinks did not arrive, orders were incorrect. Newspaper was not delivered on either day. Light bulbs did not work and were not changed. Staff not interested in Hotel only the Golf and Leisure Club.

The view was very nice overlooking the golfcourse and the use of the sport & leisure facilities was really enjoyable.The room was very comfortable.

The breakfast on the sunday morning was cold & we had to keep asking for everything like an egg,or toast or bacon as there was not any on the table that was set up.There was also no tea or coffee so we had to ask for some to be provided. This all took quite a while and was a little embarrassing too.

Overall the hotel served its purpose. The receptionists on check in and on check out were efficient and friendly, and delivered a good corporate house front image. The location was good for me, the room was quiet, and generally all was fine. I do think that the rate that my organisation paid was too high for the product on offer. (97234450)

Bar service and table service at dinner was very good. Breakfast service was poor; latecomers were confronted with used tables which were not cleared after use. Temperature of cooked breakfast food appeared to be below the legal requirement and quickly got cold on the plate. (97889978)

We were generally very pleased with the three nights we spent at the hotel. Food and service were good, despite the hotel being busy with a couple of golf tours. Voices echoed along corridors at night when people returned to their rooms late - not much to be done about that, as clients should be a little more considerate at 2 a.m! (97149257)

Rooms good size and clean. The staff are very competent and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. My elderly mother was well looked after too and access was very good around the facilities for her with the lift and slopes to upper floors.

We reported two small things, both concerning the bathrooms.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting, and the views are stunning. We were slightly less than impressed when we first arrived in the car park as the exterior of the building is not picturesque, but inside everything was fine. We had a very enjoyable morning in the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna which were all luxurious. The changing rooms however, although clean and spacious, lack separate cubicles. The bar and restaurant are very pleasant and the food is very good, although we found the menues somewhat limited, (especially the bar snacks,) as indeed is the room service menu. I stayed in room 215 and on arival the room was freezing cold, in fact it was so cold I had to go to reception and get another card to keep the electricity supply on while I went to the Jacuzzi to get warm.
